Somehow got my dates mixed up and got this scenery piece finished for yesterday when it didn't need finishing until next Saturday doh! Anyway its done and I can move onto painting some more miniatures.
That's a bit nice!!! great idea and brilliantly executed. The details are really well thought out. Looks great but is also figure friendly. well done :)
Thanks very much. I prefer figure friendly terrain tbh. if I was doing a display piece perhaps things would be different. The top of the cab comes off as well still so got access inside for multiple minis.
Thanks i'm really pleased with it. I think I might have a go at doing one with some sort of lighting feature. But that will be one that takes a lot more planning I reckon
Wonderful stuff Simon. As CW states its both very pleasing to the eye and you can actually do something with it during the game (i.e. figures can actually move on it and through it). Great to see you continuing on with your AtDE scenery - I must crack on with mine at some point.
Hola Amigo Lo primero me encanta tu foto de avatar,es una peli que me encanta y as elegido una de mis escenas preferidas. Y el trabajo que as echo con el terreno MAGNIFICO un saludo
Thanks Bryan. I had dug him out to see how well he would fit with the engineers for a friend and he matches quite well. So I though why not lets have some picks with the wanderer of the wasteland.
Superbly done, Simon. Your work on terrain is only matched by your equally impressive brushwork on your character figures. And you do it all ahead of schedule.
I think this is your best terrain yet Simon! It looks great and it is very playable all the fire rests guarantee hat this base camp will be coveted terrain in a game.

ReplyDeleteThanks dude! Yes functionality is key I think.
DeleteFantastic work mate, in the construction and painting of this project. Kudos. :)
ReplyDeleteCheers dude. You will get the opportunity to game on it at some point.
DeleteLooking forward to that. :)
DeleteVery nice job Simon, I love that road warrior mini, fits very well with ATDA
ReplyDeleteCheers I though so to. I think he'll get added to the engineers as an extra grunt type as his attire fits in quite well with there style.

ReplyDeleteCheers David. derelict Vick?
DeleteHa! Military slang creep...Vicks- vehicles, packs- persons. At least my kids know what I'm saying! ;)
DeleteThat is a fantastic piece! Really evocative!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gordon. I hope to get some more skeletons at some point and start adding them to my scenery especially the most post apoc themed ones.
DeleteSweet!
ReplyDeletethey're all ready for the apocalypse!
ReplyDeleteIndeed they are all geared up and ready to go!
DeleteI am very impressed with this, Simon. What a great piece of post apoc scenery. The inclusion of the Mad Max figure was an inspired choice.

ReplyDeleteCheers Dean there will be plenty of character figures this month from a lot of sources :)
DeleteVery well done, Simon. Great terrain piece. Works well with any of the various factions on display here.
ReplyDeleteCheers Finch. I wanted it to be faction neutral so it can fit in as a normal terrain piece.
DeleteLove this beautiful and atmospheric job, great details Simon!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Phil.
DeleteExcellent piece of scenery.
ReplyDeleteIf the other entries are as good it will be a tremendous competition.
Thanks. Theres are some corkers I shall have to share some.
DeleteMarvelous work, very fitting for the game.
ReplyDeleteThanks mate.
DeleteLooks the biz Simon, nice work!
ReplyDeleteCheers Ray :)

ReplyDeleteThanks Robert yes I am really pleased with it. I hope so its not got full 360 cover but that was intentional. It can still be flanked.
DeleteNice bit of scenery there Simon and it looks the biz. You are making some lovely terrain pieces
ReplyDeleteCheers Pete. Getting there hoping to be able to fill a 4x4 or 3x3 table by the end of the year.
DeleteLong time no speak, dude. This looks terrific. Great job.
ReplyDeleteIndeed hows it going? Thank mate.
DeleteGood thanks, mate. Just really busy with uni. Getting some prep done for Safe house though so will get posting again soon.

DeleteGreat looking scenc Brummie, hard to think it started out as a cheap red plastic truck!
ReplyDeleteThanks though there isn't a lot of it left lol.
DeleteI love it!
ReplyDeletelol Glad you like it mate.
DeleteAnother fantastic post apocalyptic terrain piece.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Sean :)
DeleteGreat terrain painting Simon ... is it just me or does that final figure look like Nathan Drake of Uncharted?
ReplyDeleteThanks very much! Quite similar but not quite :) I think he resembles someone from down under.
DeleteThat's awesome Simon, It's got a touch of comic book about it too.
ReplyDeleteA bit of something from nothing!
