My third and final Zomtober entry having missed last weeks target and not getting anything done.
This is the stripped, changed and re-painted Oakley from Hasslefree Miniatures or Ash from The Evil Dead movies. Removed his axe and the leather holster for his shotgun and added the chainsaw hand. Re-painted in the traditional colours.
Previous miniature can be found here.
Well tomorrow is my Birthday and what better present my EotD Kickstarter pledge is due to arrive! Naturally pics will be taken of the grand box opening and the miniature awesomeness contained within.
I really like this repainted Ash. Well done, and enjoy a great Birthday tomorrow. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks and Thanks mate.
DeleteA fabulous re-do! Love the new look and very many happy returns for tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteCheers Michael! Hopefully my EotD Kickstarter will arrive tomorrow as well what a Birthday present!
DeleteYou've done a bang up job on the painting, Simon. I hope you have a fantastic birthday.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Bryan.
DeleteGreat job Brummie & happy birthday in advance.
ReplyDeleteThanks Finch!
DeleteGreat work, Simon, love the shade of blue
ReplyDeleteCheers Dezmond!
DeleteHappy Birthday for tomorrow. I hope the EOTD turns up on time, and that you get loads of other exciting stuff as well.
ReplyDeleteNice work on the figure I like the changes to the weapons and think he would have a good chance of survival in most of the games I have ever ran.
Thanks Clint me to. At work so it will probably arrive whilst I'm out but I shall be looking forward to opening tomorrow evening if it does come!
DeleteGreat repaint mate, and have a good one tomorrow
ReplyDeleteCheers Dave and thanks!
DeleteHe's got some biceps, hasn't he? Well done and happy birthday in advance.
ReplyDeleteYeah he's quite a muscley boy so he is! Thanks for the birthday wishes
DeleteLooking good!
ReplyDeleteTa Monty!
DeleteNot bad at all my dear Mr. Quinton!
ReplyDelete"This is my boomstick!" Still my favorite quote!
Thanks and an Awesome quote it is to!
DeleteThat is a great conversion - looks just like the Jawed one. Best, Dean
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean. Its not converted in that sense he comes as a kit with a hand holding an axe, a chainsaw hand and then a choice of a holster for the shotgun or a katana in its scabbard.
DeleteOutstanding work! Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteNice work on Oakley, Simon. It must take some guts to strip a previous paint job (although some people recommend dettol), but you've certainly done him justice.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday for tommorow, by the way.
Thanks I neglected to mention his previous paintjob got spoiled by a varnish incident so it had to be done,
DeleteVery cool. The Evil Dead films were a feature of my teenage years. The chainsaw is great, where did you pick it up from?.
ReplyDeleteThanks mate Hasslefree miniatures comes as a kit with 2 hand options ;)
DeleteNice model.. will have to pick it up in the near future :) Nice work on it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mr.Lee
DeleteSuperb conversion work Brum!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! Or so it will feel when you open your EotD KS package. I like him much better in the traditional colors with the chainsaw hand. It must have been a tough call to re-do him.
ReplyDeleteThanks mate yeah I can't wait! I struggled to find the enthusiasm to paint him again. Still have Jess to do.
DeleteHe's a beauty and a classic Simon!
ReplyDeleteCheers Fran indeed he is!
DeleteCan never go wrong with a Bruce Campbell mini. Cracking paint job and have a great birthday mate.
ReplyDeleteHi Carl thanks very much :D

Greetings J.D Thank you very much.
DeleteExcellent job sir! My wife & I just finished watching the 3 Evil Dead movies. The second is by far my favorite! Now I gotta get that Ash figure!
ReplyDeleteThanks Terry. I live the Evil Dead films and this fig is great. I so want to get another at some point to use the axe combo.
DeleteGreat paint Simon , nice model .
ReplyDeleteHave a good day ;).
Thanks Vincent!
DeleteLovely figure there Simon and damn I say it it looks better than when you first painted it. Great a great birthday
ReplyDeleteThanks very much PK yeah his face is certainly better on this version.
DeleteGreat job mate, but I just can't get myself to like any chainsaw-arms. I do prefer the new colours! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks very much mate. I'm not keen on chainsaw's either but as he's a movie character i'll let it slide this once!
DeleteGreat re-working of the figure.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Birthday too !
Thanks Zabadak ;)
DeleteExcellent painted figure!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Peter
Cheers Peter!
DeleteThe painting is spot on! That's a great figure too I might have to add it to my wish list...because you know, it's not way to long already.
