Spent a couple of evenings this week finishing off the scavengers they are nearly done just need to touch up a few bits I've missed.
Planning on having another game of Across the Dead Earth next week at some time. Continuing on the campaign from last time need to plan the next scenario. Looking at the figures I got a bit fed up of the inconsistent bases of the Stour Raiders so on Monday I stripped off Dixon and Red Rum from there original 30mm lipped bases and but them on 25mm rounds they have now been re-puttied and repainted so they match in with the rest. I think I will stick with the 25mm rounds for all my PA/Zombies figures and 2p for those that don't have slotta's.
All Matching now.

Thanks they mix really well. Some sculpts I prefer over others but thats more down to personal preference somewhat.

ReplyDeleteYeah it was bugging when I was looking back through photos. So they had to go the Reaper figs will be next though some may get stripped and repainted perhaps.

Just had one last look, before publishing, and the grouping of figures really does compliment each other. Top job putting the group together. An often over-looked part of collecting miniatures is making sure there's no mis-matching mini's inside 'gangs', but these work. They work a treat.

ReplyDeleteI like the unified bases, I'd go on washers if I'd start again, but I certainly don't fancy lipped bases at all.
I don't mind the lipped bases all my EotD stuff is based on those but I have far more zombie theme figures on 25mm rounds than I do the lipped and using them together like this they stuck out badly.

DeleteConsistency in basing may not be that important to anyone else but yourself, but at least you've done it now (I hate re-basing)
ReplyDeleteYeah I had a panic attack at one point redrum was dropped but thankfully the varnish protected the paintjob and no harm was done!
