Thoroughly enjoying these figures from Oathsworn Miniatures this time we have a pair of pirate themed Shrews. The figures have nice chunky details which are nice and easy to paint and lots of great textured fur areas. As a bonus everything has been in a single piece so no filling or faffing with bits to pin!
Tough decisions ahead on which one to paint next. Hmm Squirrel Knight or Adder Mage?

DeleteGreat work Simon the colour choices worked out really well, and nice atmospheric photo's as well
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave. I am pleased with how they turned out. I got mistaken with the jacket not realising it was a waistcoat.
DeleteGorgeous photos, Simon. Outstanding stuff, imho. Great work on a pair of super-fun minis :-)
ReplyDeleteCheers Simon. They are really nice and easy to do.
DeleteOooooh, I love them! Colourful and fun, terrific work!!
ReplyDeleteCheers Suber! Glad you like them!
DeleteAmazing, these are such fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael. They are a joy I can't wait to have enough done to start trying out the rules.
DeleteGreat coloring! Really nice detailing on the bandana too.
ReplyDeleteThanks mate. It was nice to have a play about with patterns. May be attempting Tartan at some point eek!
DeleteAh! AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!
DeleteI call foul! I’ve seen neither a badger, nor a burrow. This is more Shipwrecks & Shrews. Fake news. Sad.
ReplyDeleteLovely stuff.
lol thanks mate.
DeleteFantastic job mate. These models just paint up brilliantly.
ReplyDeleteCheers Carl. They do indeed. I wished i'd got some sooner.
DeleteI really like these, well painted and colourful.
ReplyDeleteThank you Phil. It doesn't seem right to not do them that way.
DeleteYou're doing a great job on these little characters Simon, and the photo's out in the natural plantlife is just perfect :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks very much. Only trouble is its growing and I will not be able to fit many more on!
DeleteGreat brushwork (and photography)
ReplyDeleteThank you Joe!

ReplyDeleteVery shrewd. ๐
ReplyDeleteHa Ha I Shrew what you did there!
DeleteBright and vivid colors are so spot on. They look great. I'm pretty sure your daughter would want a game with these minis as well!
ReplyDeleteThanks I certainly hope so!
DeleteWow, these are great!
ReplyDeleteHad a dog that got bitten by a shrew once - bloody thing wouldn't let go either. Luckily it's tiny teeth couldn't get through her fur, but she yelped like she'd had her leg chomped off!
Thanks Dai. They are absolutely awesome to paint up.
DeleteOuch! yes they can be absolute wusses sometimes can't they.
I have a very poorly pooch at the moment.
I like the painting and the figures but as you know not a game for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks mate can appreciate that ;)
DeleteI'm enjoying seeing these figures painted; nice work!
ReplyDeleteNext? Hmm, I'm not convinced by the adder/snake miniatures, so I vote for the squirrel!
Cheers Hugh glad you like them.
DeleteI started the Adder....Squirrel will most likely next though I also want to do the Platypus ๐
Lovely work mate. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the new blog header. :)
Thanks matey starting the fourth novel tomorrow :)
DeleteThese are really, really good.
ReplyDeleteLove the striped pants on the female.
Cheers Wouter. I loved doing these and I am experimenting very much more with patterns. When I get around to some of the other figures Tartan is one of the things to try and accomplish.
