Crooked Dice Lawmen with Shotguns
I have painted up some more cops this week to boost my numbers for my LAPD Police Force. This gives me a total of 8 officers and a Sergeant. I have been looking up where a lot of those classic films have been set from the 80's and was quite surprised how many were set in Los Angeles.
So having already got Riggs, Murtaugh and Axel Foley done earlier in the year I plan to get some characters for Die Hard and Predator 2 and recently saw some new additions to Studio Miniatures Survivor range which I ordered. Then I also realised Terminator was set in LA also so that is another future plan. The cops can at least then fulfil multiple roles as extras. Annoyingly adding them I have 9 in total which works out at 15 Ratings but I need more Sergeants to lead them. I may pick up the handguns set. But also have the M16 armed cops which I plan to paint up as Swat!

Alpha Squad Animal Companion Timber
A quick paint job on this one to get it off the lead pile its been sitting primed read to go for ages. Snake Eyes the action figure came with a wolf called Timber and in the comics helps him fight off a huge Polar Bear in the Arctic.
This wolf is from the now OOP Leading Edge from one of the Bram Stoker's Dracula miniature sets. Originally I picked this miniature and another off Ebay to use for Empire of the Dead but found them to small to mix with the other wolves at the time. However it scales perfectly with my Gi Joe scaled figures the other has been donated to someone else's Joe cause.

Alpha Squad
Quite randomly painting items at the moment. No particular theme in mind only that I feel like painting them.
Next up is Flint this is a spare casting from a private collection.
Another from the private collection this time Duke at first I wasn't sure about the pose but after painting him feel much better about him.
Another conversion this time I made Tunnel Rat. The body is from the Studio Miniatures Spec Ops team, the head is from a reaper mini I had and then I added a scarf to cover the join but this also matches the action figure.
I dug out some figures from my Joe project as I fancied doing something military lowland managed to chip away at the pile i had assembled and primed.
These have been work on over the past two weeks but due to work and busy family weekends only just gotten around to getting good weather to try and get some pics.
First up is the Joe called Ripcord. This is a conversion using a Crooked Dice Minion, co models head and backpack (which I trimmed to get the reserve chute on his belly) and some tubing and a bit of putty for mask.

The four new Joe's ready for deployment. I have a 7TV event in January and may take my Joe's as Stand ins for Department X as I can't seem to settle on a new cast for it and time is ticking away.
It's at Board in Brum in Walsall and is on Saturday 25th January.
