Rogue Miniatures Riggs and Murtagh

So first up in this month hero theme is Riggs and Murtaugh of course from Lethal Weapon (Also a Christmas movie Die Hard fans) These are sold by Rogue miniatures. (There are issue with the website currently but you can contact them through there Facebook Page to Order)

These are both really nicely detailed sculpts to paint from the details on Riggs Jacket to the little touches like the belt holster, wedding band and tie pin on Murtaugh. At first I thought Murtaugh was perhaps a bit to tall but looking it up he is 6 ft 4 inches!! So fits well really.

I have ideas now for some 8TV using these guys it would make a fun cast with some regular cops as back up. Just need a beat up station wagon for them to ride around in.

Alpha Squad Mercer

Whilst I am in the mood to finish off figures on the paint bench I have got another Alpha Squad figure finished. Again he has sat a while part done on the paint bench. This is Mercer an ex Cobra Viper and the only known Viper to of defected to the Joes and survived. Mercer is a member of the Renegades a group of individuals lead by Sgt slaughter they don't answer to anyone but themselves and are a bit of a loose cannon.

The figure itself is the Green Beret from Rogue Miniatures repainted in a suitable scheme. The advantage of doing Mercer is to test out a colour scheme I hope to use for  the Cobra Vipers that I plan to do at some point. Interestingly the card art never matched the action figure. The hairstyle was correct but the colour was sort of a strawberry blonde. The figure I had and in the cartoon he had brown hair so that is what I went with. Googling some images I can see later figures all had brown hair as well with the later ones adding a beard and changing the hair style. I use to have a flat top as a a hairstyle growing up as well so it was kind of like having a mini me.

I had Mercer as a kid and he also had a role in GI Joe the Movie in storming Cobra-La alongside the other renegades and the other new recruits. So had that bit of extra character compared to the other Joes I had. I want to make the remaining two renegades Taurus and Red Dog. Taurus I think I can make from a Hasslfree figure with an added beard and some new weapons. Red Dog is far trickier and I am pondering the choices for him.

 

Rogue Miniatures Red Rum

So far Zombtober has been an epic fail zombie wise. My order still hasn't shown up yet despite chasing it last week grrr no zombies for me this month it seems. Anyway onto my next survivor addition

Another fantastic figure from Rogue Miniatures 'Gun' range Red Rum is based on the character Jack Torrance from the Shining by Stephen King. I'll be using him as a survivor armed obviously with an axe. Very nice casting I don't recall seeing any moldlines or flash. The pose is excellent  and I look forward to using him in my zombie games. I chose to do my own colour scheme, but its not to dissimilar to the movie version though I have no intention of using him as such anyway.

I already have 'Herb' and 'Agent Ready' and I can recommend them for great service. I shall certainly be picking up some more from this range soon.

One of my all time favorite films was 'The Thing' when Rogue miniatures did this guy I just had to have him.

Bullets Vs Arrows

Painted this fantastic Zombie hunter by Rogue Miniatures 'Herb' very cool figure. Love the fact he's armed with a modern bow.

Finshed my last two Copplestone Future Wars Bad Guys in Suits. Really seem to drag out painting these. Yet when I bought them I couldn't wait. Guess I couldn't make my mind up on paint schemes. I wasn't to sure about Afro dudes suit colour but I'm warming to it. I intend to use him with my KKBB Soul Section
The dude with two pistols will find many uses from Zombie Apocalypse to KGB agent. I've included a group shot at the bottom of all the other previous figures from this pack.
