Zombie Hunter Finished

Finally got my next Zombie Hunter finished Hasslefree Baker is now going to be added to my crossbow armed Zombie Hunter. Not sure who is else is going to be on the team yet.

Mixed feelings about the camera on this first two I took them indoors with the flash enabled. They seem ok but the seem to have washed out the highlights on the jacket.

Theses two are both taken outside with and without the flash

  1. The photography of miniatures is an art I have not come close to mastering yet. In fact, I am quite poor at it. I here a lot of people build photo/light boxes to eliminate the need of a flash, and it seems to work well.
Having highlights washed out from flash is very frustrating. Having said that, Baker looks pretty good none the less. While I like this figure, I think my least favourite thing about him is the brass knuckles. They probably fit in just fine in many scenarios, but they seem almost useless if you're already carrying a Mac10

  2. Cheers Adam. I suppose it depends on how much ammo you have for the Mac 10

  3. Great work Brummie, like you I find getting a consistency with the photography frustrating.

  4. I love this model, he looks cool and your paint job looks great. I like the white jacket, it's a nice touch.

  5. This is a great figure and one I still have sitting on my desk to paint.

I see you went with the smg option rather than the handy bay too. Why bring a bar to a gun fight right? ;-)

  6. @Michael Yeah I think because the jackets a very light colour the shading/highlights just blend in with the flash. I've had it suggested to perhaps try a darker background.

@Mik Thank you. I decided to try and have a go at something white to see how it went. I'm quite pleased with how he turned out. The Photos don't do him justice tbh

@Shelldrake I love this figure and i may get another to arm with the crowbar. I figured he has brass knuckles for when things got up close and personal so decided to arm him with the SMG.

  9. Nice work Brummie - I have the same problem with photos :(

If you wave windows, have you tried using MS Office Picture Manager? I find the 'Auto-Correct' feature in that helps (sometimes!)
