Zombies and Trucks

Been mostly catching up on varnishing miniatures and doing the bases on my next batch of miniatures. I have my first two Zombies nearly finished kindly sent to me by Johnny over at Brains and Guts Great guy and has recently started a fantastic ATZ campaign so go check it out. The Beginning. Here are my first two Zombies completed first go at the undead. I have six Wargames Factory Zombies to build and paint again sent to me by Johnny. I really must get some more I think I will go for the Mantic zombie/ghoul sets to begin with so I can start getting some games in.

Picked up some more vehicles this week for scenery purposes a great find as they come with cargo thats removable. They come as a set of 3 for £5.47 from Tesco's.

First up a recycling lorry the container on the back is great its removeable and also the rear hatch opens so perhaps I can put in a Zombie surprise in there.

Next a Skip Lorry again with removable Skip not much to say really it all moves and can be put in the same position as the recycling lorry above.

Lastly I don't get the relationship with this one as you have two recycling bins on a Lorry with Heavy Duty logos which to me says construction vehicles of some sort? But never the less fits well and as the cargo is removable can be used elsewhere. The Glass recycling bin has two moveable doors so can be used as hiding/search location.

  1. Loving the zeds! Definitely on the lookout for some of those Mantic ghouls and Zombies hoping I might be able to pick some up at Salute. Great find on the trucks too, they look spot on scale wise.

  4. I think its great idea to go with plastics to bulk out your horde. Don't know about the ghouls, but mantic zombies are great, they do look more like ragers than shamblers, tho.

You can get them a bit cheaper online on Wayland games or Dark sphere stores.

Great vehicles, lots of bins for Brummieham :P

@Zabadak Yeh my first one's not painted undead flesh before. I forgot to mention these where found in Tesco's for £5.47 have amended the post to reflect that just incase anyone else wants to get some.

@Mathyoo. Vampifan recommended geting both sets to mix together so thats what I will do.

  6. Those are some familiar VF zombies, and you've painted them up nicely.
The trucks are of a great scale match, and will make great additions to the cityscape when you begin playing games.

  7. Good work on painting your very first zombie figures, Simon. It's great that you've finally broken your duck, in a manner of speaking!

I ordered the ghouls, zombies and graveyard set from Mantic, which gave me 30 ghouls, 30 zombies and 66 grave-stones for £39.99. The ghouls and the zombies mix together very well.

Your new vehicles are great, too. You definitely scored there!

  10. AH!!! Looking really good my friend! Really happy you like what I send you.

Bryan is right concerning Mantic. Ghouls and zombies mix excellent together and gives you extra bits. Which you can use for some terrain here and there.

Really good find with the trucks.

    1. I was lucky with these to be honest. I saw these on another blog But was unable to find them in any of my local Tesco's. Until Monday was having a look through the toy section and found just the one box hoorah!
