Yep couldn't wait to get started on these guys. I found working with the resin surprisingly easy. I was a bit more careful preparing the figures than normal especially when filing/removing the odd mouldline. I had to spending longer washing them though as it once in soapy water it felt slimy. I guess there is either more of a release agent found on resin stuff than there is on normal metal/plastic but its really no bother. Undercoated easily enough and once decided on a theme I started on the British agent No 2. Besides doing the eyes I haven't started the others as yet. I need to decide how I'm doing the other suit and how the F.O.N jump suit colours are going to be.
Originally I planned for this chap to be blonde and even painted it so at first but I changed my mind to a sort of mousey brown colour instead.
Nice job, love his face!
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil. It is awesomely sculpted mate
DeleteHa, he even has one eyebrow raised! Lovely job on an excellent miniature. I still think that your bases are a bit plain, mind you :-) .
ReplyDeleteThank you. My bases are done intentionally simple in order to fit in multiple settings
DeleteExcellent figure and paint job. I also like the raised eyebrow. I think your bases are just fine as they are. There is nothing wrong with them as far as I can see.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Bryan. The faces are just so full of character
DeleteThis model looks fantastic mate. Cant wait to pick mine up.
ReplyDeleteCheers dude. Save some pennies up and treat yourself at Christmas hopefully the metals will be out then!

DeleteQuite a character - his face is all attitude; and the black attire only adds to the flavor.
ReplyDeleteCheers Dean.
DeleteOh man, that thing has me itching to do an "Archer" game for 7TV. Must...resist...scale change...
ReplyDeleteLol do it do it do it. Its only a single project.
DeleteThe eighties still don't do it for me personally, but I love Ian Mountain's style.
ReplyDeleteGreat paintjob, as usual. I like the brown hair, they pop out more than blonde would.
Thanks very much mate. Each to there own flavour. Now get those Moderns finished :P

ReplyDeleteThanks very much it. Yes just a bit like bond. Which is exactly how it should be he will be used for all sorts.
DeleteI think the photo does not do justice to the fact that you have done an incredible job on the face of this small miniature.
