Another miniature I've had for a while and finally got around to paint him. This is a Kev White sculpt (Hasslefree) but is owned by Akula and is part of his private commissioned Apocalypse Isle range of which spare castings are available. Its a cracking sculpt called Geronimo. I am going to use him as the leader of a band of River Pirates in my Post Apoc games but would obviously make a suitable zombie hunter etc.
I've got one of the pirate sets sculpted by Shany Hoyle and hope to pick up the armed civilians as I think they will make good 'Saviours' for Walking Dead themed games.
There is a wide variety of sculpts available so take a browse something might take your fancy
Lovely work Simon. Those red braces really contrast well with the blue trousers.
ReplyDeleteThanks dude. It need a bit of colour so decided on red :)
DeleteVery nice work.

DeleteSuperb work mate. Still think he is taking a chance of blowing his own toes off! :)
ReplyDeleteLol cbeers I picture him trying to intimidate someone
DeleteGreat work sir!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michal
DeleteIt is a well sculpted figure but I don't know why he's holding his pistol in such a limp wristed manner! Beautiful paint job, by the way.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bryan I reckon it's for intimidation or he is arguing with some one

DeleteBit of a bovver.
ReplyDeleteSmashing effort per usual mate. Never seen that range before, some really good stuff there.
Cheers dude. I had seen some it on Lead Adventure but it wasn't til I saw this chap in KW FB page did I pick some up. I will hopefully get the armed civilians at some point as they just seem very useful.
DeleteI do like the figure. As you say suitable for a zombie hunter. (Or post apoc!) What I really like is the way you have painted the boots. the leather looks old and worn and therefore comfortable and supple!
ReplyDeleteCheers Clint. Pretty simple really Oak Brown basecoated. A dark tone shading wash
DeleteThen just highlight using very thin snakebite leather.
He looks fantastic. Look at how you brought all his little details to life ... I mean this sounds mundane to the average joe but to us miniature painters ... his shoes - realistic; his eyes and skin tone - realistic' his leather bits - realistic and so on. Love this one Simon, I really do.
ReplyDeleteYou've outdone yourself , picking outthe detail - I love the sculpt and your rendition of it.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! He sure doesn't look overly intelligent :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice; I like the colour scheme. The way the gun is pointing seems a little odd, though?
