Burrows and Badgers Squirrel Knight Sire Juniper

Next up off the paint table is the Squirrel knight who I have named Sire Juniper. Another lovely single piece figure. I really like the pose on this one. The flow of the cloak and the partially armoured tail makes it nice and dynamic looking as if its swirling, swinging and striking out with the halberd.

I really must get some of the other squirrels it was really fun to paint. I am looking forward to doing the foxes as well though I only have the one at the moment.

  1. Great addition to your force Simon, the painting looks excellent. For me if the halberd blade was facing the other way it would of added to the description of him swinging the blade

  4. Is "ding the foxes" legal - I thought they had outlawed it along with cookies.

A lovely bit of painting as usual, keep them coming.

  8. Superb Simon :-)
Different to how I saw the squirrels in "Lord Brocktree" which I'm reading at the moment, but SAW is past tense - they'll look more like Sire Juniper in my minds eye from now on!

    1. Thanks dude! Yeah I am just starting Salamandastron and they don't fit in my minds eye either. But then these aren't intended to be exactly Redwall per se just inspired by it.

Its why there are a few black powder weapons and magic in there.

  11. That's a lovely, clean paint job. Mind you, that armour on the tail must be heavy and awkward for the poor beast!

    1. Thanks Wouter. It was nice to do a bright armour it goes so well with the blue I think.

I may do some decorated shoulder plates on future ones just to get a spot of colour in there.
