I've been very lucky to have been given some figures to paint for Kitbash Games Upcoming Kickstarter. The kickstarter will have a number of supers themed miniatures to support their upcoming Supers Unlimited game. You can find more info about the game and a number of the characters and factions here.
The first figure I have finished is Roughneck. You can read more about his bio on this page from the Kitbash Blog here. The model is resin and comes in two pieces body and left forearm carrying the bat. Roughneck was really easy to clean up and assemble. I spray primed in grey and then

painted him up. The Resin is top quality and I had no issue getting good coverage. The details are really nice on the figure and it was a pleasure to paint.
I went for a slightly different scheme just because its what I fancied doing.
Looks great Simon, could see many uses for this figure not just the superhero game
ReplyDeleteCheers Dave. Yes me to. I can imagine using this guy as a raider leader in post apoc gaming or as a merc/perp of some kind in Judge Dredd
DeleteHe turned out really well!
ReplyDeleteCheers Fran!
DeleteI could see many uses for this great figure.
ReplyDeleteMost definitely!
DeleteHe looks great, Simon. The eyes show up very realistically within the face mask.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean. I think I am chuffed with those the most as I managed it first time without any faff!
DeleteGreat looking miniature and great paint job!
ReplyDeleteCheers bro! Its a really nice sculpt
DeleteGreat figure and a fantastic paintjob!
ReplyDeleteSeems I thought exactly the same as Doc Merkury! ;)
DeleteIndeed thanks though Skully! Great minds eh!
DeleteWonderful looking miniature Simon!
ReplyDeleteThanks Terry it was cracking to paint.
DeleteI like it! Quite versatile, as others pointed out. Really cool paintjob!
ReplyDeleteCheers Suber yes it is. Someone mentioned it would make a good Road Pig Dreadnok from Gi Joe. So I think getting another and converting him is on the cards.
DeleteGreat work on a great miniature. From a certain angle you could be forgiven for thinking it’s Casey Jones...you should probably do some Turtles now.
ReplyDeleteThanks mate. Yeah thats a good idea tbh.
DeleteReally love it! Great model!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michal it is a fab one!
DeleteGreat job on a cracking sculpt Simon, love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael it was a pleasure to do.
DeleteI see a few head been bashed in Simon :)
ReplyDeleteLets hope so! Criminals beware!
DeleteThis guy is super! Great job!
ReplyDeleteCheers Jonathon!
DeleteGreat job Simon!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Wouter!
DeleteLooking great! He certainly wears his influences on his sleeves. And shoulders. And face...
ReplyDeleteThanks Azazel! Yeah I can see a fair bit of use out of this one
DeleteRoughneck looks great there Simon - the fiorst one finished! :) Very well done and thanks for showing him off. :)
ReplyDeleteFunny story time, around 25 years ago I created a character as a cardboard counter piece which was very similar to this design (just ask Mr Bresnen!), but with red shoulder pads but no baseball bat. Then I was able to pick up the Comfy Chair art which inspired this final sculpt and it was one of those excellent pieces of serendipity.
Thanks very much mate. Yes the first of many. Thats so cool to hear. I bet its nice to get something you imagined in miniature form.
DeleteNice looking figure Simon. I wish someone would get on with some generic supers. I'd be all over those. I have a whole universe of supers from my Champions RPG days and would love to bring them to life with multipart kits. Sometimes I'm even tempted by dollies.
ReplyDeleteThe details are indeed nice and you did a good job on them for sure.
