Otherworld Dwarf Fighter

Another Dwarf Fighter finished off the paint pile. He has sat half done for ages. I painted this guy a good few years back but after a few months noticed the varnish clouding a lot of the paint job on him and the fully armoured dwarf fighter below. Its really hard to paint the same figure twice. Its very similar in scheme again.

All of my Dwarf ,Gnome and Halfling adventurers.

All my Otherworld Dwarves the fighter on the left also ended up with issues from the varnish

  1. Great work Simon, shame about the varnish clouding, but you've saved the models very well. An impressive looking force you have there

    1. Cheers Dave. It was odd as it only appeared after a few months not straight away.

    1. Thanks very much. Its took me a while to get around to painting the same figure the same way again.

  4. Nice gathering of a 'small' warband there! Don't think I've bought any otherworld miniatures, how do they compare with GW, etc for scale & proportion?

    1. Cheers very much Terry. They vary to be honest. The Dwarves etc all seem to scale better with GW LOTR. GW Fantasy tends to be much more heroic in size. I have some humans which are perhaps similar sized to Old World Warhammer but their weapons are perhaps not.

    1. Thanks mate. Yes it was odd it was like it was drip that initially dried clear but then over time went white.

  9. Great work as usual. I always seem to have bad varnish results with acrylic paints which is why I tend to use lacquer nowadays when I can.
