Department X: Hugo Solomon and Pandora King

Hugo Solomon is the dashingly attired and super effective head of Department X. His top secret department investigates and deals with all manner of threats to the country, and Solomon is usually right at the thick end of the action. Equally capable of wielding a withering put-down, a beguiling smile or a karate chop, Department X’s Pandora King is devastating in every sense of the word.


First up off the painting table to be completed is Hugo Solomon just grabbed him and finished him off in two sessions. Finished Pandora off a while ago but more pics can be found of her here.

Picked up a few more vehicles off ebay for my 7TV games another Police car to go with the mini a Ford Anglia and a VW Van which will be used for the goons. I may get some decals for some signage not decided yet.

    I remember those vehicles from my youth. "Z Cars" "Softly Softly" ahh it's brought back such memories. Nicely painted figures. Retro is the way forward!

      Thanks Michael, They are display cars but come off the bases quite easy they look that little bit more special than your normal toy cars.

    Big collar, big tie, sideburns - certainly evokes the 1970s! Do you have any ideas for a car for Hugo and Pandora? I don't imagine them driving about in a Ford Anglia...

      Cheers, No mate they are just there to show scale on the two vehicles. I hope to get some kind of sporty number but haven't seen the perfect car just yet :D

      You know, I've got a part-finished 1:43 scale Daimler SP250 sports car that might do the trick for the heroes. You can see it in the centre of the 1st photo in this article (also in another photo later on): http://colgar6.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/the-workbench-december-2012.html . I've had this since 1984 and still haven't finished it; I don't imagine I ever will. If you think it's the right size & style and would like to complete the model and use it for Hugo and Pandora then it's yours for the asking: hcduggan at gmail.com

    Okay, I have to admit that the 70s was my era, and that is Jason King to a 'T'- great stuff Simon! (And I remember the old Anglia police cars all too well also!)

    Cheers Nathan, Erm basically I intend on doing on zombie, Post Apocalypse and spy type gaming and chose grey as a neutral colour to be used across all three genres.

    He looks great and very like the character from the TV show, down to his enormous turn-back shirt cuffs. You've done an excellent paintjob on him - he's got to be one of my favourite characters that you've done

    Oh yes 7TV is awesome i'd recommend checking out your imagination is its only limits with this ruleset.
