Professor Erazmus
Getting myself back into the mood for some Empire of the Dead painting. I finally got this chap finished. Originally he was sold as a Limited Edition figure when you purchased the hardback rulebook. There are also special rules for him so you can use him in game. His background is of an inventor and a scholar of the occult. I can't see myself using him all the while but for one off games he'll come in useful. The Collector part of me wants them all :D

Very nicely done. Quite a splendid figure.
ReplyDeleteThanks Clint :)
DeleteClint is right...Splendid is the word! Love the colors..
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil. In my eyes he's sort of barmy crackpot so went for a lot of different coloured clothing as if he's not reall interested in that sort of thing.
DeleteOutstanding Simon!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael :D
DeleteColorful bloke, this Professor Erazmus, he is. Awesome looking figure Simon!
ReplyDeleteThanks mate.
DeleteGreat miniature & very nicely painted.
ReplyDeleteCheers Buddy.
DeleteVery nice,kinda looks like a 40k mini
ReplyDeleteThanks mate. Yeah I guess he's more steampunk than most I've posted so far would fit in an inquisitors warband
DeleteYou've got to love a limited edition figure, and this is a cracker!
ReplyDeleteThanks mate He's pretty cool.
DeleteNice work Simon!
ReplyDeleteThanks Robert :)
DeleteWow - another fantastic character. The colors initially made me think of St. Nick - must be the season. Best, Dean
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean and No its bloody November not December :P
DeleteSmart job, and an interesting character for the game!
ReplyDeleteThanks Scott he certainly is!
DeleteHe seems quite eccentric, great paint job :D
ReplyDeleteThanks mate. Yeah he's an expert in the occult and in the latest inventions. Doesn't like fighting unless he has to. So yeah Eccentric is a perfect description.
DeleteGreat work mate, really like that.
ReplyDeleteCollecting bug for EotD, eh? So will we see one of everything perchance eventually...?
Thanks mate. Eventually yes not sure about the vehicles but I do want one or two and we all know where that slippery slope leads!
DeleteDescend (should it be ascend!) the slippery slope! :)
DeleteShhhh the missus will hear!
Deletethat's one dangerous professor!
ReplyDeleteHe is indeed!
DeleteHe's one cool dude, Simon.
ReplyDeleteThank you Bryan. Cool hmmm I'm not so sure most gentlemen might have something to say about his dress sense!
DeleteVery eccentric looking, as I feel he should be.
ReplyDeleteGreat brushwork - as always
Thanks Joe, I love that about this character.
DeleteVery nicely done.
ReplyDeleteI'm no expert on Victorian fashion but I gather the smoking jacket/cap combo marks him as an eccentric. One step removed from fighting the forces of evil while wearing a bathrobe and slippers.
Thanks Finch, its pretty much his background to a tee!
DeleteHe is a cool figure. I enjoyed painting him up. One thing with EOTD is the hirage cost of these guys. You never seem to get enough shillings to keep paying the sort of retainer they command. Maybe one guy but no more than that. It means you get very few of the characters on the table.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean I suppose really its down to choice and how many in the group are playing to get the best use for them. I think personally I'd use them just for one off games. Rather than in a campaign
DeleteNow that's a fun model! And nicely painted to boot. Reminds me of Jon McCririck a little.
ReplyDeleteThanks lol yeah he does a bit!
DeleteGreat colour choices. I have no idea what I want to do with mine!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I think its what probably took me so long to get him done.
