Otherworld Adventurer's Rebasing Completed

The post title says it all really. Stripped them all off of there chunky mismatched thickness bases and went back to basics with them all with a simple coating of putty roughed up and give a few dry brushes of different shades of grey. I think they are far easier on the eyes now.

I've got the Dwarf Fighters Snorri Stonefist and Tharzon Hammerfist are both stripped and and ready for painting as well as a few other characters a female Gnome fighter and Gnome mage/thief and finally a Half Orc Assassin.

 Human Cleric, Fighter and Ranger

 The Halfling Thief and Fighter

Gnome Fighter, Dwarf Fighter (Hasslefree), Dwarf Thief and 2 War hounds. The advantage of the hounds on these bases is I can use them in my other games if required such as ATDE :D

The Previous bases.

  1. I prefer these bases. Sometimes it is nessercary to re base things we don't usually enjoy it but sometimes it just needs to be done.

    1. Indeed I'm far happier with them now. I may add some tufts or something at a later date but we'll see.

  5. Again fantasy not my thing, but good work dude.
Basing is a necessary evil we must all endure.

    1. I don't mind it to much tbh. I just hated the non uniformity of the bases. It just sat there in my brain buzzing away lol

  9. I liked the old bases, but I agree they were quite thick. At least you got a proven system with the new one and they really came out nice!

    1. Thanks I liked them to but when put together as a group it doesn't look as good. Also I want to do a fair few warbands for Fantasy and want them to be fairly consistent

  11. The re-basing looks good and will be worth it if you are happier with the minis. :)

  14. Ah, re-basing is a curse to be avoided under most circumstances! But if you have to then you have to. The end result is certainly quite acceptable, isn't it :-) ?

    1. Yes it is indeed more acceptable now. I'm also stripping some old paintjobs as well so you might see some previous mini's reappear.

  15. Looking much nicer Simon. sometimes less is more. I applaud your bravery in going back to models that were finished but which you weren't happy with and redoing them!

    1. Cheers Ste. I decided If i'm not happy with it why not re do it. I'm not adding much to the lead pile lately so will going back and stripping some figs here and there isn't encroaching on the current stuff much.
