Britanan Dragoons and More Dragoons.

Well more work continues on the Britanan Force for the tournament at the end of this month. Busy weekend again has no time for hobby but got a little bit done last night,

The Dragoons are going to have a Blue uniform with gold and silver helmets. Not quite sure what colour to do the plumes. I think once I've base coated them fully I can make a better decision on it. Still not got any further with the Heavies since the last post. They'll be at least be primed this week,

For those interested in how Relics work there are some great youtube videos by on of the Tor Gaming Rangers (demo guy)

A 300pt battle report between the Orcnar and Britanan forces.

  1. They look good so far, I like that you went for the blue instead of red this time.

    1. Thanks. Yes I figures as cavalry wore more elaborate uniforms to normal infantry I figures I'd change the scheme slightly.

    1. There are some great game reports as well. I picked up a few tips and tricks as well off of some of them.

  3. Looking good Simon, I really like that blue. Grey/white plumes would look nice with that.

    1. Thanks Bob. Hmm grey is a possibility thanks for the suggestion. I have been torn between red or purple.

  4. Nice start on some whimsically lovely character figures. Liking the change out on banners for this project too.

  5. They are off to a good start. :)

On the plumes, pale grey/off-white always works well with blue, but if you did red, that could be a way to tie back to the colour scheme of the infantry.

    1. I am coming around to the Grey Idea. Depending in how I feel tonight I may do one grey and see what it looks like.

  7. Looking good, Simon. If you're planning on gold helmets, red plumes would be a good choice IMHO.

    1. The helmets are painted no but they are silver and gold. I will try one in grey and see what it feels like first.

  8. I am confident that what ever colour plume you choose will look right. I suspect if it was me I would go very light grey and highlight white for the red white and blue look to the army. But that might be far too obvious.

I do look forward to seeing what ever you choose .

    1. Yes. See the Marksmen will be green and black (if/when I get around to buying some) ala Sharpe. So I don't mind there being a mix of coloured uniforms as long as its consistent across the units.

  9. Change in colour scheme is a good choice I say. Makes for a more varied group shot.
