A bit more ranged firepower as I didn't pick many of those in my first order. The only others are the throwing knife Shrew Pirate Here and Tobias the Mouse Ranger Here.
I went with more natural earthy looking colours with just his dagger/sword and buckler being a bit brighter. I am quite please I nicknamed him Bobbo after one of the dormice in Mariel of Redwall I recently read.

Looks very nice!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely brilliant Simon!
ReplyDeleteHe certainly does look very good. Most excellent paint-work.
ReplyDeleteCheers Bryan one of my fave sculpts. I do like the sling armed characters.
DeleteI love all the paintjobs you are doing on these, seriously. This one is tremendously cool!
ReplyDeleteThank you Suber I am enthralled by the range at the minute.
DeleteCute little bugger isn't he?
ReplyDeleteThe red buckler next to that nice green cloak works really well.
Yes but he'll take your eye out with that slingshot if your cross him!
DeleteThanks I was quite pleased with it.
Excellent!
ReplyDeleteThank you Michal!
DeleteLovely paintwork and basing. I usually end up with `muddy' when I do earth shades for clothing while yours `pop'.
ReplyDeleteCheers Phil. I his cloak was like a camo green washed with athonian camoshade then I layered it back up to Camo green.
DeleteThe leather armour was Tau ochre, AP soft tone then again layered back up to the tau ochre with a bit ushabati bone added in the final highlights of the armour edges.
Great work Simon, the colours work well together, with enough contrast to make it all easily identifiable
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave. Its what I have been wary of as with mostly having browns for furs it kind of makes you look at other colours for the armour.
DeleteThe “Burrows & Badgers” bonanza keeps on coming, Simon. Lovely work, and a welcome addition to your warband with his ranged attack clearly - just how important is range in the rule-set?
ReplyDeleteThanks matey! I am not sure yet but I think a mix will give you more options tactically. Especially against bigger creatures.
DeleteIt may e my imagination but he looks mischievous to me. A very ice mini and one that does make the game look appealing but at present it is still a NO from me )
ReplyDeleteCheers Clint! That is fine dude just enjoy the paintwork!
DeleteLooks great! This project is coming along very nicely!
ReplyDeleteThanks Stew more incoming!
DeleteLove the color scheme ... just the appropriate dash of red on the sheath and shield.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much felt it needed it but also ties it in with my other figures.
DeleteSuperb! I also like the moss like flock on his base.
ReplyDeleteThanks Wouter. Its Coarse flock I got it from a railway store. Its quite thick but I like it
