Star Wars Legion Luke Skywalker (Star Wars Version)

Had been mostly painting droids for Stargrave/7TV however I ran out of black paint and primer this week and won't get chance to pop to a LGS until the weekend so Whilst assembling some other miniatures  I have quickly painted Luke who was the last of my Primed Legion Core set. I'd already partly painted the base. So quickly painted him whilst watching a movie last night.

I can also use all my Star Wars stuff for Stargrave! All thats left of the Rebel side of the Core set is the ATRT! That was proving just as frustrating as I tried to magnetise the weapons but I failed miserably. I think I need some slightly smaller ones and need to plan it a bit better the 2mm by 1mm magnets are to big.

  1. Super work Simon, especially on the hair and light-sabre. Spookily, I have that very figure on my painting table too, so will be returning to this posting when I put my brush to it for reference.

    1. Cheers very much Simon. I prefer the Operative Sculpt If I am honest but also have a 3D printed Ahsoka to paint so will probably use that model and use Luke's Profile. The Saber was done using GW Enchanted Blue (Hex pot) thinned then whilst wet I painted a thin white strip along it front and back kind of wet blending I suppose.

    2. Cheers Simon. I actually thought you might have used Vallejo Fluorescent Blue. I'll add a pot of GW Enchanted Blue to my list for when I next order as its a gorgeous colour.

    3. I am not sure what it translates to nowadays. As mine is from a hex pot from waaaay back. I rarely use it to be honest but it seemed fitting for the saber.

    1. Cheers Dai! Yep I want the Operative version as well. I can see some bits that need tidying up.

  9. Iconic figure of Luke, great brushwork making him look instantly recognisable (even to me).

  10. It's hard to get the Skywalker out of that mini because of how iconic the character was ... but it's a fairly good stargrave proxy nonetheless.

    1. Thanks very much. Yes very much an iconic pose and mini. Stargrave isn't fussy which is a good thing.
