Well finally managed to get into Waylands Forge and collected my Copy of 7TV Core Rules. WOW what an awesome book. Its absolutely fantastic quality it is beautifully set out, top quality print, the artwork is great and its all in full colour I'd thoroughly recommend getting the printed version over the PDF! Can't wait to try it out. Need a few bits to get first then I can have a few trials. If this is the quality of all there printed products then I shall be definitely picking up all the tokens and gadget/event cards Get it HERE
Finished my Rescue Team Split these into the two packs that I had from Gripping Beast. They are both from the MOFO Falklands British range. The first photos are of the smg pack I chose to use the Wooly hat heads for both these packs as I was after a special forces type look. The second set is the command (minus the mortar not decided if I want to use it yet) The guy in blue will be the leader I changed his head for the Grizzled Minion head from Crooked Dice. The main influence of these guys is the movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service I saw this recently for the first time and though what a cracking film for some reason I must of missed this growing up or it wasn't shown on telly much. The rescue teams at the end are in simliar gear and so the seeds were sown.
Not sure what to start on next I also picked up a set of Crooked Dice's new minions set the flamethrower and technician guy. Nice sculpts and will be good additions to my other minions/guards. Have a load of Hasslefree bits to get finished for various projects so we will see.

Beards and Axes
Not much finished this week. Felt really ill over the weekend and slept most of Sunday so didn't get much done.
Been following 'The Hobbit Movie' on facebook lately and its put me in a Dwarfy mood especially the picture at the top.
I dug out my LOTR Dwarf project which has been sidelined for a longtime. Its only WIP mostly I did do some test pieces over a year ago and have nearly finished doing the bases on these 7 lucky Dwarf's and done around 40 in total. As you can see in the last photo the gobbo's are quite outnumbered at the moment. I do have the Fellowship kicking around somewhere with a few other characters.
We'll see how far the project gets I got disheartened by the quantity of painting required. but will do this inbetween my other bits and bobs.
My Rescue squad have been given a wash of badab black for there grey and black scheme will hopefully have them done for next week.

Some Books....For a Change
Really not got hardly anything done this week. The other half had a minor operation last week so Its been Daddy Daycare here. By the time I get the time I'm to knackered to do much.
Based all my Hasslefree figure as well as some Copplestone Future wars Police. Done a little basecoating on my British troops for 7TV. That's it hobbywise
Read a book call 'The Dead' By Charlie Higson. Really good read. Didn't realise at the time when I saw this at the library this is the second book. However as I understand it follows different characters I'm going to get the first one 'The Enemy' and give that a go.
From the back
A terrible disease is striking everyone over the age of fourteen.Death walks the streets.Nowhere is safe.Maxie, Blue and the rest of the Holloway crew aren't the only kids trying to escape the ferocious adults who prey on them.Jack and Ed are best friends, but their battle to stay alive tests their friendship to the limit as they go on the run with a mismatched group of other kids – nerds, fighters, misfits. And one adult. Greg, a butcher, who claims he's immune to the disease. They must work together if they want to make it in this terrifying new world. But as a fresh disaster threatens to overwhelm London, they realize they won't all survive..
Also read 'Silverfin' again by Charlie Higson this is the first in the series of young bond novels and its a fantastic read following a young Bond at Eton and the struggles of school with age old customs.
Convincing badguys. I've already picked up the second in the series 'Blood Fever'
From the Back
- Before the name became a legend
- Before the boy became the man
- Meet James Bond
The dark waters around a remote Scottish castle hold a sinister secret.
One man with a thirst for power will use it - whatever the cost.
- SilverFin is dangerous
- SilverFin is the future
- SilverFin must be destroyed
Also picked up off ebay with a stack of other Zombie Novels was this one only sort of skimmed through and read the first half a dozen pages. Its good so far not so much stories but has a history of Voduo where the Zombies myths come from and its origins.Has some stuff in there about various movies
Looks interesting so far.
Reviews for it are bit meh depends on what you expect from it really but both reviews on Amazon are from people who haven't read it all the way through so I don't think its fair to judge it on that

Double Agents and Survivors
This weeks been a little slow. Finished off a couple of survivors and took some pictures of my Double Agents for KKBB. Really like these double agents they look excellent. They are painted differently to there movie counterparts that they are base on. The right hand one is Major Dalby and in the centre is House Martin both from 'The Ipcress File'. The one on the left is yet unidentified.
First up Is a Griffin Miniatures survivor sadly I can't find any information about this range I'd like to of seen what was in it. At the moment i'm trying to decide on names but hes going to be some sort of mechanic or garage owner. Love the pose as if his about to crack open a zombies skull with it. As for the pistol it certainly is a big ass pistol.
This Guy has been a pain to photo because the skin is quite dark i've struggled to get a decent photo of the facial features. I intend to use him as a trapper type character the sort who lives off of the land and would be a bit of a natural survivor. The miniature is a Brittania Inkerman figures a Malayan Scout I believe. I painted him to be an African American though.

This week's Update
Had a bit of a lazy week hobby wise this week. I'm pending an order from Hasslefree so decided to revisit my earlier miniatures I painted and touch them up abit. I did get my set of Double Agents finished as well but in a rush this morning completly forgot to take them with me to work to take pictures. I may well post them later in the week.
I did some before and after pictures just because my eyes blur detail and only when taking photos can I see the bloody mistakes some quite ridiculous to be honest. The photos are all before then after shots I include two of baker as the changes can only be seen from cert angles. Dionne I'm still not sure about the face.
This week I read Autumn by David Moody. This is the first book in the series and details the start of the Zombie Apocalypse. I found it to be a great read and does things a lot different to your normal Zombie book from how they awaken and react and its a slow burn. I can't wait to get my hand on the next book but have got to wait for the Library to get hold of it.
