Getting back into the swing of things this week as things return to normality slowly. This fella was a bargain I found in a model shop in Burton on Trent called Spirit Games a cracking model/board game shop just down the road from Burton train station. Anyway they have a wide variety of miniatures some not listed on there website and they have a treasure trove of OOP miniatures for people to delve through and I came across this gem of a miniature for the princely sum of £1.20. He is I believe from the blister pack a Prince August Loki Viking Gang Member I can't find links to him on the web though besides the odd picture here and there.
Perhaps more Post Apocalyptic than modern day but I think he will fit in well with my biker gang and that's what he will be used with. The numbers of my bikers are steadily increasing now to 8 members I plan to get more most likely after Christmas when funds are better.
Armed with an axe and a metal dustbin lid as a shield he can go bash some zombie skulls with his axe he will add a little melee muscle to the group. The sculpt had very little flash or moldlines and was easy to paint the pose is perhaps a little 2D if you know what I mean but I think its quite characterful none the less. Onto the pictures
A very characterful and fun sculpt. I love the helmet!
ReplyDeleteGood find, Simon. He'll fit in well with your biker gang.

"Get your motor running..."
I always liked that figure, and you've done a cracking job on him mate!
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun and unique looking figure. He would do awesome as a post apocalypse figure, but I think he'll also fit in we'll with a biker gang.
ReplyDeleteI love shops like that where there are gems hidden on the shelf!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the figure!
I love this fig, it so reminds me of the cover for Black Sabbath's 1970 album Paranoid. Now I'm really going to have to track one of these down.
ReplyDeletePretty colorful blog you got here Brummie
ReplyDeleteNow that is wonderfully weird and very well done.
ReplyDeleteVery cool, love the spiked biker helmet and bin lid - funny!
ReplyDeleteExcellent figure, very good use of a dustbin lid, me and my brother used to use dustbin lids as shields when we played sword fights!
