Finished off these two fine looking zombie hunters from studio miniatures ready to kick some zombie ass.
Nice miniatures if a little skinny. Of course they are based on Zombieland's Tallahassee and Columbus and represent them really well. Not sure how they will be used yet besides for shooting up zombies!
Very damn nice Simon, damn well armed!
ReplyDeleteThanks Fran, yup especially the Talahasse
DeleteAnother great figures Simon , Really nice .
ReplyDeleteCheers
Vincent .
Cheers Vincent.
DeleteLovely job Simon, I have these in the pile somewhere, I must dig them out!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael they've lingered a long time on my painting tray undercoated.
DeleteNicely painted mate. I think there should be both fat and skinny survivors. And slender ones run faster!
ReplyDeleteIt does make you wonder what the English Versions might be called..... "Dagenham" and "Skipton" Perhaps!
Thanks Clint lol Dagenham and Skipton sound great consider it borrowed :D
DeleteNice paint job mate. I have to say whilst I think that Studio Miniatures Zombies are some of the best around I think their survivors range is a bit poor in comparison. Some of the figures are very nice, and sculpted well whilst others look gangly and out of proportion. That double barreled shotty must be almost 6 feet tall in scale! Nice paint work none the less.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'd have to agree on that I think they have been sculpted by various sculptors. Its probably why I haven't painted them sooner yet all the others that came at the same time where painted more or less with a month.
DeleteGreat brushwork on those Brummie, but I still think that (Like Smillie)Studio do better z's than survivors. I think Tallahassee is one of my least favourites too, but the kid is one of their better ones.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe, Yeah I agree from Dixon onwards however they look great especially the new ones about to be released. Obviously they've change sculptors since.
Deletewe shall soon need much more zombie hunters, trust me!
ReplyDeletelol bring it on I have plenty :D
DeleteTallahassee suffers a bit from the big head that a few of Studio Miniatures "celebrity" models have. Still looks pretty cool though. Columbus is even better I think, though his gun look s a little long.
ReplyDeleteYou've painted them nicely. Did you get them as part of the kickstarter?
Thanks Adam, Nah I got them separate off an ebay seller, picked up a few other survivor packs at the same time.
DeleteNice work Simon,
ReplyDeleteI personally really like the studio survivors. I've got these and love em both and I prefer them over other versions I've seen
Thanks Dave, they are the best version out there but they are still abit off if you know what I mean. Dixon was cleaned prepped and painted in 48hrs these have left me a bit meh.
DeleteThe new ones from Studio are awesome though.
They are real nice figures. You painted them up just like the movie.
ReplyDeleteThanks Robert yeah thats what I more or less copied in the end.
DeleteNow you need a yellow Humvee.
DeleteI can almost remember when I was that skinny! Interesting figures Simon1
ReplyDeleteLOL So can I, .......Vaguely lol. Thanks
DeleteGreat work as always. Another here who is not a fan of the Studio minis survivors (but love the Zombies), but excellent work nonetheless. :)
ReplyDeleteCheers dude, Yeah it why its took so long to paint them really. Need some inspiration. Will have to take it steady for a bit now as the EoTD KS has been delayed Until July/August.
DeleteNot my most favourite of sculpts but cant deny, another cracking paintjob mate.
ReplyDeleteThey are great Simon and a great paintjob on there too
ReplyDeleteCheers PK
DeleteVery nice Simon, they are great minis, so well sculpted and the painting you have done looks really good too.
ReplyDeleteGreat additions, Simon. The blue jeans and weapons look perfect. Best, Dean
