Brom And Helm Mastiff War Dog's

More additions to the adventuring part a pair of Mastiff War Dog's named Brom and Helm. Not sure whether to give them any sort of background as I can't decide on there story. I have Ranger but don't think the war dogs are really suitable as animal companion.

Again really nice figures from Otherworld Miniatures from there Accesories section. They have some really nice familiars as well. I'm tempted to pick up the animal one as they have some nice birds and even a weasel!

Not sure what to paint up next, I have a Dwarf Rogue, Gnome Fighter based and under coated. A Human Ranger, Halfling Rogue and Halfling Fighter which I haven't done anything with as yet. The Halfling's are surprisingly small about as a big as one of my 15mm Predators!

  3. Love the colours on the dogs, but can't see why they wouldn't work as a companion dog? :)

    1. Thanks its the type of animal. Rangers IMO would suit a wolf more forest/wild animal type creatures. Dire Badgers etc

  6. Looks great, I love the sitting pose with the leather armor especially. The group shot at the end is super cool too, ripe for adventuring.

  8. Mans best friend. I always like dogs in games they add a certain quality both a warmth and an aggression at the same time. I think you have gotten the colours spot on and they will look very good an anyone's games table.

    1. Thanks Just copied from the site really. I suppose Icould of done them in Rottwieler colours but that would be to similar to my guard dogs for 'the wild ducks' so decided to just stick to the original

  13. Good looking figures, dogs and really any animals do add a lot to games. Their price is a bit steep though.

    1. Thanks yeah they do add a lot. Hmm price I was lucky I managed to get these two dogs and the Dwarf Mercenery (Tharzon) for £7.50 plus postage off ebay which worked out to be about £3.00 inc the postage so not bad considering how good the sculpts are.
