Another good painting session yesterday evening resulted in Skylar 'The Family's' scout being finished and Drexyl going a long way to being nearly finished. Anyway here is Skylar. I slightly modified her arms and shortened her wrists.
The Two members completed so far.
They look fantastic mate. Struggled with my Skylar as didnt change her hands over, so they look a bit weird. She hasnt got a lot of definition in her face either unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carl, Yeah the face was a bit difficult the eye detail was great I think if the cheeks and mouth could of done with being a bit more defined. I mentioned to Rich some extra curls on the forehead or left side of the face would of been nice.
DeleteSimon I think your painting is getting better and better. A really triumphant figure.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Clint. I'm really excited over these figures. I think when you feel that way about a figure you put the extra effort in.
DeleteDefinitely looking good, Simon, and once again, I like your use of muted colours. Also, I haven't commented on this before but I do like your bases. They're simple and uncluttered and don't need any extra bits adding to them.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Bryan. I think I've got better at texturing these sort of bases. I may add a tuft here and there but as I'm still yet to buy some it will have to wait. They'd only be small ones nothing to large.
DeleteSimon, I think this is one of your best if you don't mind me saying. I love seeing all your painting, but I love the brush-work on this. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff mate. :)
Thanks very much very kind words indeed! They will make playing ATDE all the more enjoyable.
DeleteAnother greta figure, you really set the bar high on this one and the pastel colours seemed to fit well with the "medic".
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe. I tried to use colours similar to the concept work but still wanted her to be different. I think the green and brown's work well especially as she is a scout.
DeleteLooking very nice.
ReplyDeleteThank you AndrĂ¡s
DeleteVery nice work.
ReplyDeleteThanks MBG!

I like that dynamic pose, very nice. You've done a great job with the painting. Your transitions are so smooth now and the highlights are perfect. I also like the palette you've chosen for these.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anne. Some colours are easier than others I find
DeleteHola Amigo
ReplyDeleteComo me gusta esta figura tiene un gran movimiento y con los colores que le as puesto queda MAGNIFICA.
Gran trabajo
UN SALUDO
Thanks J.D and Greetings!
DeleteWonderful colors on Skylar. The green hoodie looks great.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Dean :D
DeleteMan, you're on fire- the painting gets better and better- in league with the devil?!
ReplyDeleteLOL thanks mate. Just feeling inspired lately :D
DeleteGreat job Simon.
ReplyDeleteNice use of colour to tie them together.
Thanks Bob. I'm looking more lately of ways of making certain features stand out so dark next to light colour etc
DeleteYou're really doing a great job on these Simon - love the little tweak too.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Michael.
DeleteVery good job! I like the color choices, they turned out great!
ReplyDeleteThanks I intended a darker green at first but It kind of just ended up lighter and lighter.
DeleteThese figures have brought out your best efforts both in technique and color selection.
ReplyDeleteThanks Robert. I have some EotD nearly finished but they aren't as good as these. Perhaps after I've done these I'll have stab at them again.
DeleteFantastic work, I love the color you've picked for her hoodie.
ReplyDeleteThanks mate. Yeah Skylar's turned out really well i;m quite chuffed.
DeleteShe looks great, that's a strange gun shes holding. Are the rules out yet I want to pick them up, I all ways wanted to do an overgrown ruined city board, I guess it could be done on the cheap.
