ATDE Skylar The Family's Scout

Another good painting session yesterday evening resulted in Skylar 'The Family's' scout being finished and Drexyl going a long way to being nearly finished. Anyway here is Skylar. I slightly modified her arms and shortened her wrists.

The Two members completed so far.

  1. They look fantastic mate. Struggled with my Skylar as didnt change her hands over, so they look a bit weird. She hasnt got a lot of definition in her face either unfortunately.

    1. Thanks Carl, Yeah the face was a bit difficult the eye detail was great I think if the cheeks and mouth could of done with being a bit more defined. I mentioned to Rich some extra curls on the forehead or left side of the face would of been nice.

    1. Thanks very much Clint. I'm really excited over these figures. I think when you feel that way about a figure you put the extra effort in.

  3. Definitely looking good, Simon, and once again, I like your use of muted colours. Also, I haven't commented on this before but I do like your bases. They're simple and uncluttered and don't need any extra bits adding to them.

    1. Thanks very much Bryan. I think I've got better at texturing these sort of bases. I may add a tuft here and there but as I'm still yet to buy some it will have to wait. They'd only be small ones nothing to large.

  4. Simon, I think this is one of your best if you don't mind me saying. I love seeing all your painting, but I love the brush-work on this. :)

    Great stuff mate. :)

  5. Another greta figure, you really set the bar high on this one and the pastel colours seemed to fit well with the "medic".

    1. Thanks Joe. I tried to use colours similar to the concept work but still wanted her to be different. I think the green and brown's work well especially as she is a scout.

  16. She looks great, that's a strange gun shes holding. Are the rules out yet I want to pick them up, I all ways wanted to do an overgrown ruined city board, I guess it could be done on the cheap.
