More Post Apocalyptic goodness this week. Clearing down the paint table of a few lingering miniatures. I got a bit lost with the colour scheme for these two. Finally made my mind up and simplified it and got them finished. Both will be part of Raider bands for This is not a Test, Across the Dead Earth and well anything else that requires raider/savage types.
Working on some more Raiders at the moment. From EM4 this time waiting on a package of Wreckage figures to arrive from a trade I did can't wait!

Haven't been keeping up here but good to see you're still cranking out good work. I especially like the first guy, the archer, and how you've done the shading for the armour sections on his chest. Nice mix of low tech armour and a fancy bow - reminds me of someone you'd meed in one of the SM Stirling Change novels.
ReplyDeleteI also like the new masthead art - nice to see that pointed bras survived the apocalypse. ;)
Cheers,
Michael
Thanks Micahel. Yes indeed well its Fallout and the apocalypse does happen in 1950s so its fits the era really.
DeleteSplendid work Simon!
ReplyDeleteMinis not really my style, but the paint job is excellent
ReplyDeleteThanks the Wreckage stuff is quite a broad variety. These are from two different factions really the Drifters (the archer) and the Stakers (Long rifle) Both sort of play different roles one is sort of a scout while the archer one is like a chieftain.
DeleteVery nice miniatures and nice paint jobs too Simon.
ReplyDeleteThanks mate. I need more of them now!
DeleteThey really are nice looking minis and you've done a cracking job on them as per usual :)
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Christian they are cracking sculpts.
DeleteThese are well up yo your usual high standards, Simon.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Bryan. I'm surprised its took me so long I seem to of started these so long ago.
DeleteCool minis!
ReplyDeleteThey are super mini's.
DeleteDefinite "Mad Max" feel to this minis Simon, and as Bryan says, they're painted up to your usual high standard.
ReplyDeleteThanks Simon. Definetly. They'll be useful for some other settings as well.
DeleteUnusual colours on the long rifle, but a cracking good paintjob on both!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Unusual in what way?
DeleteWell, as a sniper it would be nice if you could blend in the environment.
DeleteBut instead of wearing camouflage or muted colours she is wearing bright blue trousers and coloured her hair pink.
She would be spotted almost immediately :).
Excellent addition to your post-Apocalyptic stuff. :)
ReplyDeleteCheers dude! I am hoping to get enough ready to make an ATDE Faction. I think that's probably what we'll be playing next I think.
DeleteI look forward to it. :)
DeleteThat second fig is a sweet sculpt. Love the paint jobs too, well done mate!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much. There be a fair more of these soon just waiting a package to be posted :)
DeleteThey are great fun Simon, loving the shocking pink hair.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Michael yes went through a phase of pink hair. Theres one left from that batch to finish off lol.
DeleteShiny and chrome! In no way mediocre! (Just saw Fury Road. I think that means "I like them" in post-apocalypse-speak.)
ReplyDeleteLol thanks mate. Awesome movie! Want to go and see it again.
DeleteGreat job Simon! Love the archer dude!
ReplyDeleteThanks dude! Was so chuffed when I spotted them on LAF for sale the Archer is an awesome fig.
DeleteLovely paintjob Simon, especially the red hair.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ray! I did a bunch of em one night in a flight of fancy just one more left to finish off of the table.
DeleteVery cool figures, Simon. Their ad hoc armor reminds me of some of the gear worn during the recent Ukrainian riots.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean.
DeleteI think in a lot of ways thats what post apoc is about.
The miniatures are well painted, that's a given but I'm equally impressed with the background detritus. Good choice of background for the photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much. I weeded so the greenery has gone for a bit :P
DeleteAnd so the apocalypse grows. While you probably do have enough gangs now that is no reason to stop such splendid work.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed! always need plenty of raiders. Have been pondering supermutants this evening :D
DeleteLove these mate, especially the bowman! Lovely work :)
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Chris. Its a brilliant model.
DeleteI like what you've done with the sniper, she looks unique. The colours actually show that you had fun painting her!
