The Shattered Crown Hellesburne Swordsmen

Finally finished these guys off this week I have really enjoyed painting these figures despite them being a regiment and not normally how paint things up especially in numbers of this size (for me). The colour scheme I went for was based around natural colours and I want there clothing to look like worn leather. I think in hindsight f I'd have done them again I'd of perhaps replaced the green with another colour as they blend in with the flock I used a bit.

Some shots of the figures singly and from the sides and rear. They come in four pieces body, head left and right arms. At the moment there are sets of Spear, Sword/shield and Crossbow arms. Some mixing and matching of bodies and heads gives you quite a varied looking unit.

  3. Well done, Simon. The green's not a problem. Similar colors on the base and miniature can give a mini a unified look.

    1. Thanks Finch I just wasn't sure whether it seem to much. I think I'd do different colours on future units just to represent sort of different retinues.

    1. Thanks very much Anne. I prefer my outdoor pics I just seem to get better photos than anywhere I can find indoors. I suppose I will invest in some lamps or something at some point its all down to when I can spare the funds.

    1. Yeah these were put out on 25mm bases making it easier to rank up in different ways. You could do round mdf bases and have them on custom movement trays it doesn't affect how the game plays so far.
