Crooked Dice Lionel Version 2

I'd hoped to have my Action Hero finished for this weekend's posting but I couldn't make up my mind what colour to wash part of him with. So I ended up finishing off a different figure instead. I've paint this mini once before. Its Lionel henchmen and bodyguard to Lancelot Cray the Chairman of United Radionics.

I painted the blister set before but I really like the mini of Lionel and so have 3 copies of him lol.
Theres just something about this pose that I really just like. So this time I went for a blonde fella for the 2nd version. Who knows what I will do with the 3rd copy maybe a head swap will be required.

Found a decent pic of version 1

  2. That's a cool paint job - I love the hair colour!

If its one of the Crooked Dice figures you picked up from Colonel Bills, they all used to belong to me. Another failed project. Haha :)

  3. Disconcertingly different Simon :-) But suitably so as I was rather thrown by the 'Scorby baddie version' being used as the illustration on the Bodyguard Bruiser Heroic Extra card for "7TV" 2nd Edition.

    1. Thanks Simon. Yeah I thought that at first to. But it fits as a bodyguard character type pose wise. Its like the second detective pack with the character aiming hos pistol is the other bodyguard card. I usually have several copies of these sorts anyway most my conversions are based on the KGB men from the Copplestone range.

  6. Fabulous, quite a transformation from the original. Just goes to show how versatile the sculpt is.

  7. Now you have a Swedish henchman as well! He looks great in either version.

  8. Very cool, Simon. The two versions look completely different. I do like the guy with the goatee next to the Jag.

  13. Something about a turtleneck sweater screams quiet danger to me.

Blonde on this fellow is a good choice.
