Walking Dead All Out War Andrea Booster

Well its kind of the Andrea Booster. As per my last post I have embarked on trying to get my Kickstarter boxed set finished to allow myself to purchase more of the boosters and expansions.

So I selected out a bunch of figs from those I prepared. I split them into there retail sets and have finished off the Andrew Booster. The roamer isn't the correct one as it looks like I already painted the one that comes with Amy and Andrew in this pack. So Roamer Ronnie the exclusive/Mantic Point Walker got chosen instead.

Its been useful doing it this way as it has got me used to painting undead flesh again and also get me used to the sculpting style of the figures.

I also managed to get the Sheriff's Badge (Initiative marker) and the Bag of Guns (Supply Counter but infamous from early comics and Season one of the TV show) The other supply markers and barricades will probably be dug out as well as it breaks the pace up nicely between figures so I will probably tackle a couple more of these in between them.

The other booster I started is coming along nicely. I only need to put the finishing touches to two out of the three figures and hope to have them finished tonight or the weekend.

    1. Thanks Bryan. Yeah I love the series and the comics though I still have many of those to catch up on.

  2. These look fantastic Simon, and great work on the counters as well, 3D markers really add to the game instead of flat counters

    1. Cheers Dave. Yes indeed they do. I have scraped and cleaned the rest of the counters and barricades whilst watching some tv yesterday. It was useful to have stuff like it to paint whilst waiting for things to dry.

  3. Very cool figures and badge, Simon. I like the sculpting and poses - very realistic and not overly slim.

    1. Thanks Dean. Yeah they are so different to paint but very true to the comic style.

  6. Excellent. TWD game is quite good I need to ply more of it. The base set really was just a base set though. I shall look for more boosters.

    1. Thanks Clint. Yeah I like how it works though I still need to get more games in and re familiarise myself with it.

I still need to pick up a few of the expansions but have been sticking to my not buying until this is completed rule.

  7. Nothing like the need for more minis to drive the painting process of existing minis ... unless you are me because then things just pile up without getting painted XD

    1. Lol don't worry I still add plenty of those. Just find If I have to much of something I get fed up of it and end up just selling it on.

  8. Good idea, finishing off one set before getting the next, despite the temptation - really iron willed on your part.
I wish I could duplicate your pastel colours as they great.
Good job on the markers too!

    1. Thanks joe. it really is just doing a solid basecoat followed by a wash in AP tone of colour etc. Then use either thin watered down layers to build the colours back up leaving the recesses darker. Sometime adding a bit of lighter colour later.
