Some Victorian Civilians and Cart

Finished the last few figures from the American Vampire Slayers pack from Westwind. A lady in waiting holding a candle and a lady with a stake and lantern. These will perhaps see some action in my NMRIH campaign not sure how or when yet.

Seeing Michael Awdry's fantastic cart conversion I've picked one up to have a go myself. By the way check out his latest conversion it is fantastic The Conundrum Carriage.

The horse will need replacing so that is first on my list to find a suitable replacement.

I'm slowly getting the Gentlemen and Lycaon factions prepped for painting at the moment. I've also picked up some bits to make a criminal gang (akin to some of the thugs in the recent Sherlock Holmes films).

On to the pics

The lights abit off in this pic but its the only one I took that show the lady on the lefts face :(

Sir Theo for a scale shot. I may stick it on a base not sure yet

  1. That looks great!

I'd stick the carriage to the base just to "blend it in" if nothing else.

    1. Need to get a horse first then work out how i'm going to repaint it. I'm thinking definatly rebase it it looks smaller than it is cause of the 30mm base on the figure

  7. So sorry I'm late on these, but have been brutalised by the dentist recently and feeling a bit sorry for myself! These rally look great, some f your best yet and I love the final photograph with the shadows, very spooky! Good to see the carriage and would definitely base it, you could have a bit of fun with cobblestones and the like. Thank you also for the link, very kind of you.

  9. Looking good Brummie, you're progress in this new venture is very impressive.
There are a couple of other horse-drawn vehicles in the Lledo range that could convert; looking forward to what you do with the Ringtons cart.
I suppose it's pointless telling you of the Eureka Hansom cab and the victorian civilians they have in their range ?

    1. Thanks Zabadak, yes I have ran out of cash from my sale. the left over stuff is to go on evilbay when I feel like it but I have plenty to work on for the moment.

Its the cost thing mainly these two civilians where from the same pack Sir Theo and William come from. The WW cab is £25.00 where as the LLedo cab only cost me £2.50 inc postage and I intend on picking up alot of simliar ones for that price when funds allow certainly some of the carts with barrels will be used for scenery.

  11. Nice to see you have some well painted ladies in your campaign. By the way, love your blog lay-out with the tarot cards: quite original in the game-world!

    Have a great weekend too.

  12. Maybe you could use the ladies as a distraction for the opposite player's characters. Like when a figure comes within a few inches of one of them, on a dice roll chances are the character is distracted by the lady's presence and has to move towards her (forgetting all about his mission). Next turn another dice check to see if he remains distracted or is able to leave the lady behind and continue his mission. Just a suggestion of course ;-)
