Empire of the Dead Brotherhood part 1

Being snowed in has at least given me the opportunity to get some miniatures finished this weekend, I nearly have the whole set done but the other four need a few more bits finished off as they have torch's, armour and swords in scabbards which all need finishing off.

Anyhow here are the first four Brothers ready to vanquish evil. I see my Brotherhood as the church's soldiers in disguise so as to not alarm the population. I decided they would wear a red uniform underneath there monks robes which they used to hide there militant bearing and armaments. Not so visible on these first four but you'll see what I mean when I get the other four done.

They can choose from quite a variety of gear including firearms but the basic set has most of the Brothers armed with Crossbows, swords, maces and revolvers. The Requiem kickstarter will add various firearms plus a some more crossbow armed brothers.

First up is a crossbow armed brother I was quite surprised how much I enjoyed painting robes and they are quite easy to make look effective. I decided to paint them brown so as to look like monks habits and be more incognito. This Brother is taking aim. Seeing as red was going to be the uniform under the robes these four brothers had to have red added as a spot colour to tie them all together somehow. I decided to paint Quivers, Pouches and the leather thongs that are on the bottom of some of the maces. Some of the Brothers have eye patch's (still being done) which have been painted red as well. More on those later in the week hopefully after the next paint session.

Second Brother armed with Crossbow. more of an advancing pose than a combat one but its nice to have different poses.

First of two brothers armed with mace's and revolver's I wasn't to keen on these miniatures at first but the revolvers after painting them up have changed my mind and I quite like them. This guy just had a little pouch painted red.

The second brother from the set armed with mace and revolver more of a close combat type pose on this one. I painted the thong on the bottom of the mace red to tie it in with the others.

Group shot of the four so far.

Requiem Kickstarter is doing well and as the time of writing this post is nearly approaching the 75'000 mark which once reached will unlock the next Limited Edition figure 'The Specimen' this guys isn't showing in the ladder yet but has been added so that the weapon and head conversion sets will be more permanent additions to the range. As it stands those who've pledge at a Requiem level will stand to get 10 Limited Edition figures once finished. I'm hoping we hit the 90k mark as I quite like the idea of The Phantom, Raphael and Great Uncle Thulu sound brilliant as figures.

Heres the armed brother set add some much need firepower and filling most gaps in the range for this faction.

    1. Thanks Michael coming upto the last 48hrs before it ends and there some cracking stuff being added. I've had to be content with the Megalomaniac level but If I had the cash I'd certainly add a lot of the new factions.
