East Street Games Civilian Cop and Zombie version

Well the painting mojo seems to have returned and I've managed to get a couple more figs finished this week. One I completed in a single sitting but more on him the weekend.

I got sent this pair of figures by the good gentlemen Clint of Anything but a One! who has been playing this game at his local club with the guys from East Street Games kindly visiting and putting on a game which has since been released and is now in the store in a couple of versions LINK. Both sets come with all you need to play the game including 28 plastic zombies 6 survivors and there undead partners or 6 military types and there zombie alts.

I think they could do with having the player characters available as sets as well. So if you got the Civilian survivor game set. You could buy the military figures so you could get more playability out of it,

The sculpts are nicely detailed not to much but enough to paint up quick and easy. I managed to get these done over two painting sessions doing both at once so the colours etc remained consistent. I shall certainly be picking up the further survivors later in the year.

I've decided to name this lovely female officer Jessica and will be joining the ranks of my other Police miniatures (painted in the same scheme) Sheriff Johnston and the two other officers (Which amazingly I can't find on my blog anywhere!!) I'll have to dig them out and take some pics. Armed with a pistol in a shooting pose she'll go great with my other officers.

Each set of survivors or the military team come with there own zombie versions which I think is kind of neat and wish more companies would releases zombie versions of there characters. I really love this zombie version especially the head. I didn't notice at first until I primed her that her brain was showing through her hat! Its not the most obvious injury either her guts have been torn out and are hanging down. But which came first?

The pair together.

You can find other survivors painted by the blogging community if theres any i've missed drop me a link in the comments and I'll add it in.

Clints own Reginald Evans
Mathyoo's lovely Cowgirl with shovel
Vampifans Aged Gent in Hospital Gown

  3. You've done a great job on both of them, Simon. The zombie version won't last long with her brains all exposed!

  4. Great looking lady cops, Simon. I hadn't noticed you were in a painting slump. I'm in one myself right now though.

  6. I do like these, though I can't help wondering what sort of injury has removed the top of the zombie's hat and skull so neatly :-) !

    1. I've seen it done in the film "Hannibal" but it took time and skill.

  8. you have done a great job painting them. The figure is humorous but I don't like the sculpt. The sculptor seems to have a poor grasp of anatomy.

    1. Thanks dude. I think they have there own style. What in particular do you think is wrong with the anatomy of the figure? Its a bit chunkier perhaps.

    2. The propotions are a bit wierd, but that is, as you say, the style of teh scultor. my main issue is teh exposed brain. The human brain sits in side layers of tissue and bone. This figures brain is huge, as if it takes up the full space inside the head. If this woman had the top of her skull removed (which as previously discussed is no mean feat) then the brain would be sitting down inside the remains of the skull like a yoghurt in a pot, not hanging over the sides like a muffin.
