Happy 3rd Blog Day and 80'000 hits!

Wow this has crept up. Its the Third birthday of Brummie's Wargaming blog this week I nearly forgot it was coming up. Checking the hit count its also gone over the 80'000 mark!

How things change over 3 years considering it was all about a single project which was Modern Zombie Apocalypse  in the beginning. I'm now on to over half a dozen different projects oh dear lol!

Projects currently on the go.

Modern Zombies
7TV (and other Spy fi)
Empire of The Dead/In Her Majesty's Name
Aliens Vs Predator (15mm)
Across the Dead Earth
Fantasy Skirmish (Otherworld/Song of Blades)
Bolt Action
Relics (More on this at a later date)

That's quite surprised me actually it felt like I had more on the go. I suppose having picked up different sets of rules for the same Periods/Genres makes it feel like a lot more when really they crossover.

The later part of this third year I think has been the best without a doubt.  I've made a number of 'Online' friends over the years But this year has seen me meeting a number in the flesh at shows as well as playing some games (and some more planned!) has been simply fantastic.

Being involved with the behind the scenes testing rules on the Across the Dead Earth project has been tremendous fun which is still currently ongoing and has been a great experience.

I'd like to say a big thank you to all who follow my blog and to those who I also speak to via forums and facebook. Your words of encouragement and advice through comments and chats are just such a boost. Your all tremendous people and I love this community that I'm a part of!

  4. Congratulations on the 3rd blogday!

I'm half afraid to start listing all the projects/genres in which I'm involved - it might be too sobering to see them all written down in the same place!

  8. Happy Birthday and congratulations. It's far better to have less on the go. We always get more of what we focus on, when we keep the list short and we get more done!

    1. Thanks. Yeah indeed. A lot of it cross's over especially rules wise the 7TV, 7ombietv and 7th Voyage give you quite a versatile ruleset for a few things.

  23. Congrats Simon, here's to many more celebrations!
I think we'd all be surprised about how many projects we actually have on the go. Hobby butterfly feels like it's afflicted all of us but when you really think about it there's probably a hardcore of systems/genre's that stick around.
Either way I look forward to more posts about VSF and post apoc shenanigans!
