Had a great time last night playing some more Across the Dead Earth testing. This time on the completed bespoke gaming board the guys have had made to take to shows. Its Immense! I got trounced totally in a four way slog between me, Rich , Skelch and Yoshi. I'll do a write up of the game and my terrible luck last night. Here's some pics of the board its fantastic looking! Most of these where taken a t halftime while we had a break so this is of a live game.
The roof lifts off and you can game in the bottom level the black section at the back is a dice rolling section :)
The great looking ruined church its a fantastic looking piece of terrain and easily accessible to game in.
Two story shopping complex removable roof and 1st floor. There's loads of cool little touches like skeletons hidden all over the board every time you look at it you find new things!
These are some better pics of the Rotunda and Church from off of the Artificer Miniature Painting Page on Face book. This guy built the whole board and also painted all the figures for the Across the Dead Earth game.
That's put together nicely
ReplyDeleteWow. Looks great. Makes me want to take a chainsaw and a load of rusty paint to my terrain.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fab table and it most be a joy to play on.
ReplyDeleteI purchased the rules PDF last week - thanks to your blog and Neil Shuck's pod - and the setting and rules come across as very solid.
Wow stunning looking terrain.... looks like the World has ended ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's some of the best terrain I've ever seen. I've never really had an interest in this genre, but the terrain itself makes me want to get involved.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's some epic terrain, looks just like how it would be
ReplyDeleteIt is a good looking board for sure. It makes me want to make one...... Must not get sidetracked (and repeat) MUST not get Sidetracked!

ReplyDeleteI played on the previous terrain board Artificer made - it was a blast! The new one is even better!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try and find some pics. This is one of the finest boards I've had the pleasure of gaming on.
DeleteGreat to see the landmarks from brum in ruins. This is pretty much exactly what I want my AtDE board to look like
ReplyDeleteIts ace mate. Your off to a good start though!
DeleteAmazing! You are a lucky gamer.
ReplyDeleteVery lucky indeed!
DeleteWow great looking board!
ReplyDeleteSo perty! Love the retro feel to some of those buildings too, stunning! Modular too by the looks of it?
ReplyDeleteYes it is to a certain extent. Though things like the trees and stuff have sockets on the board.
DeleteVery impressive!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking stuff
ReplyDeleteIt's fantastic!
ReplyDeleteIt must be that much better in person, but I'm now spending time going through the photos and finding all the little details.
I got that huge poundland bus I'm converting, hoplite shields all over that huge building. I like the overgrown effect, it really came out great.
No wonder people want to play the game if a board looks like this.
Its modelled on parts of Birmingham City Centre.
DeleteThe shielded building is our prized Bull Ring shopping centre.
