Burrows and Badger Mole Rogue

This is one of my fave sculpts from the recent kickstarter that arrived. This one was voted on by the community to be sculpted and to be quite honest I am glad it was. Moles aren't the great of ranged fighters in Burrows and Badgers being used to tunnelling they are rather short sighted and as such have to reduce all their ranged weapons distances by half. What makes this little chap perfect is that he is armed with a blunderbuss which is quite deadly at short range. The fact he can just pop up next to someone and give them a blast of shrapnel is a fun element as well. Perhaps a bit obvious but I don't care I just love the mini!

All my moles I have done so far. I need to paint the friar and the barbarian/old one type.

Burrows and Badgers Mole Miner

Another miniatures completed and off the paint table is the Mole Miner part of the recent kickstarter that arrived. I love the mole popping out the ground sculpts that Michael has done. All the previous ones were kickstarter exclusives so I was really pleased he did one for this kickstarter. I read that the others will get put in the store at some point as well.

I went with less foliage on this one but enough so it ties in with my other models that I have already done. The cool thing about moles in the game is they have the tunneller skill which lets them pop up anywhere on the table and also ignore difficult terrain as they dig there way under it.

Burrowed and Badgers Shrew's, Mouse and Mole

Got a good number of Burrows and Badgers minis finished this week. Four to be exact. First up is the shrewzerker who I have named Brak

Next up if Fimbul the mouse knight.

Third one finished is the mole blacksmith who I struggling to think up a suitable name for.

Sir Delegar the Shrew knight and his trusty erm steed. Bit of an experiment with paint the stag beetle. I painted the chitin a plate mail colour then used various purple, green and blue washes layered to build up the colours.

Plans for the weekend including a visit to Matlock in Derby for my second 7TV day of the year. I will try and take plenty of pics and post a report up next week.

Burrows and Badgers Mole Warrioress and Mouse Nun

Continuing on very much with the Burrows and Badgers minis this week I have got another pair finished. The Mole Warrioress who I have named Gwern and a Mouse Nun who I shall use as a mage called Lilith.

The Mole  who I intend to use as a knight has had a freehand emblem painted on her shield  copied from the Beaver that I have to gpt in the queue.

It is not quite central but I am still please with it. More practice in where to start is need I think.

Lemonade Wars: Diggle the Mole

I backed a recent kickstarter by Blind Beggar miniatures recently for the start of their Lemonade Wars range. Its anthropomorphic animals but this time in a sort of Prohibition Era type affair. As you can guess they are not brewing alcohol but lemonade! They have a lot more guns as yo would expect from the period. But there are lots of cool Cops, Detectives, Thugs and other low life characters as well as various Civilians.

As you can see I have finished off Diggle who is a Mole Thug. Meet Diggle a Mole thug. Diggle is doorman at The Flitting Bat a gambling den of ill repute. Bigger than normal moles he use his size and large digging claws to break up fights some before they even start!

The cool thing is that some of the characters will fit in well amongst my B&B project and I am tempted to have crack with the Grandville (Victorian Steampunk) player guide that is coming out later in the year.
Diggle with some B&B friends :)
