Burrows and Badgers Shrew Captain Ursula Greytail

First of the new kickstarter arrivals finished and it had to be the Shrew Captain to lead all my Shrew Militia. As you can see she is tooled up with sword, shield armour and crossbow slung across her back.

Played some Here's Negan this week only solo though just to re familiarise myself with the rules.

Burrows and Badgers Shrew Militia.

Spurred on by the recent arrival of my kickstarter pledge its got me enthused about Burrows and Badgers again. A mass clean up and preparation for priming has begun on the kickstarter figures. I have also got a pair of Shrews finished off the paint table that had been lurking and needed finishing.

These are both conversions of the orginal models with the first one receiving a blunderbuss and the second a matchlock cavalier type weapon. Both weapons were picked up on some weapons sprues from alternate armies which I picked up last year alongside some more regular fantasy type weapon sprues.

The blunderbuss was quite easy and simple involved drilling a hole through the left hand and then cutting in half the weapon and pinning it place. I carefully trimmed the trigger and filed it so it slotted over the hand.

This one I trimmed away the throwing blade and then like the first drilled and add a pin and then cut the cavalier in half pinning it either side with careful filing to ensure a good fit.

Burrows and Badgers Shrew Cook Frenna

Another random mini finished off the paint table this week. Again another cracking sculpt from Oathsworn Miniatures Burrows and Badger range. The Shrew Cook is a brill little characterful sculpt either working as an NPC type character or as I intend to a vicious vengeful Ma for my Shrew warband! Whether she will be a mage yet with some sort of healing power is to be decided.

All my Shrew's so far. The two on the left visually to me don't fit in. I think I may pick up some of the others and make a bigger Sea faring band with a few conversions amongst them.

Got a good number of Burrows and Badgers minis finished this week. Four to be exact. First up is the shrewzerker who I have named Brak

Next up if Fimbul the mouse knight.

Third one finished is the mole blacksmith who I struggling to think up a suitable name for.

Sir Delegar the Shrew knight and his trusty erm steed. Bit of an experiment with paint the stag beetle. I painted the chitin a plate mail colour then used various purple, green and blue washes layered to build up the colours.

Plans for the weekend including a visit to Matlock in Derby for my second 7TV day of the year. I will try and take plenty of pics and post a report up next week.

Burrows and Badgers a Shrew a Sparrow and some Mice walk into a bar.

Last week was very busy and I'm still catching up with putting things up on the blog. I didn't do much painting last week apart from assembling the St Searles figures and getting them based but the week before that I still managed to get a fair bit of painting done in between things. I got a bit enthused doing a bit and ended up finishing several Burrow and Badger figures. They really do feel like the paint themselves.

First up is Honey of the Redhood a Mouse Maiden I love this figure she has if you look closely a chainmail underskirt on. I wonder what is in the basket?
