Walking Dead All out War Supply Tokens & The Other Partizan

Bit of a quiet week on the hobby front. Back to work this week however still stuck with my hour a day first thing and managed to do a colour or wash each day and got all the Supply Tokens from the game Walking Dead All Out War set finished.

Sunday this week saw me head off to Newark to the Other Partizan show. It was my first time there Its a decent size show and had a good variety of traders, display games and demo games. Had a good natter as I bumped in to various friends and online acquaintances. The highlight being Ray Rousell  of Don't Throw a One North of the border.

Some cool looking Hazmat types.

Spotted a bunch of new cool minis in the Crooked Dice stand. These guys are themed on the Anthill mob and are on 20mm bases and stand roughly around 20mm tall.

Really like the crows. Wished i'd got some now could use them for Burrows and Badgers.

The Northumbrian Tin Soldier stand was excellent and it was great to see all the really cool painted figures.

Loot wise I collected my Children of the Fields kickstarter from Crooked Dice and grabbed some bases for a load of Trees I keep threatening to base and finish off. I also got the new Super Cooper Post Apoc vehicle and a Stowage pack for my Interceptor kit from Crooked Dice.

Only thing missing in the pic is this years Mantic Walking Dead All Our War Event pack otherwise known as the Peg Leg Dale and Walker Rick set. Last years was the Lee and Clementine from one of the mobile phone games. Unfortunately the guys on the stand forgot to bring some with them. However I still purchased the booster and they are shipping me one out with free postage.

Coming up in September is another 7TV day this time at a local game store that opened this year. Called Board in Brum and is located on the outskirts of Walsall a few minutes from junction 10 of the M6 motorway.

I am not sure what cast I am taking yet. I hope to try and use it as an excuse to paint up a new cast for it. Giving me a break from the Walking Dead stuff I have been doing and saving some for Zomtober which will surely arrive quicker than expected.

A productive evening last night saw me clean up a good chunk of stuff I can potentially fit in a cast.

Bit of putty basing this morning before work. Hopefully they will be dry and I can get some spray priming done tonight or tomorrow.

The Warrior from the Night Folk Range.

Finished off the final member of Nightfolk Set 1 you can find pics of the other two members of the pack The Warlock and The Sentinel just click on there names. This guy kind of stumped me a bit really wanted to to the robes purple but wasn't happy with the final colour I was getting. I've since picked up the rest of the Army Painter colour tones Red, Blue, Green and Purple and its really brought the cloak together nicely and he is now finished.

Very much in a Fantasy mood lately I've a few more finished for my Labyrinth project. Working on two more of the Hasslefree Medieval Children and another Otherworld Adventurer the Gnome Thief. Hoping to get those done this week so hopefully finished and will be Sunday's and next Wednesday's posts.

Apologies for the pics light is terrible and they are sort of coming out a bit pale for some reason. The Sun always seems so low and either kills the definition or totally washes out the pics grrr. Bring on Spring!

The Sentinel from the Nightfolk Range

Second from figure from Set 1 is finished this guy is called the Sentinel he very much to me has a labyrinth look about him. I love all the little details such as the rivets and the hastily patched armour. All the figures in the range have these little extras.

The Warlock from the Nightfolk Range

Definitely got the bug to paint some Fantasy stuff. Having a mooch through the paint queue to see what to paint next and decided to grab these guys out and give them some brush love. Quite a quirky fantasy range chunkier miniatures than what i'm used but they have such lovely character and for my intended use of a Labyrinth theme project the fit in perfect. There has been many releases since I picked these up over a month ago some awesome looking knights and some more quirky characters.

The Warlock was a real joy to paint lots of nice details such as the feathers and the fur rimmed cloak as well as the gnarled staff all have such tremendous detail. The Bird is even greater I really didn't know how to do it so have made up my own breed and colour scheme which I'll just call a Fae Hawk :)

I'm planning on going to the Derby World Wargames Show on the 4th and 5th October and will be picking up some more from this range as the Northumbrian Tin Soldier will have his stall there. Anybody planning on going? I'll be going on the Saturday most likely.
