New Terrain mat and Wrecked cars.

Been an exciting but busy week so far. Spent Saturday evening assembling a Pre Painted MDF building kit from 4ground  which was there Corner Ruins 1 Set. I also got four more wrecked cars from Project Zeke miniatures painted and ready for gaming with.  I picked up a scenic mat from a Railway store so no more game on bare tabletop. I decided on going for a tarmac one as I think it fits the post apoc them a little more than just a green one. I now have some flock so when I am in the mood I shall have a play with adding some greenery to my LOTR Ruins I showed previously.

The first one I painted is on the left. The other four I decided to do different coloured body work before making them appear worn and rusty.

Here is my new mat not bad Its not quite 3x3 but for £6 I can't grumble. This was a mock setup Monday night for Tuesday's game which I sadly neglected to take any pics of.......Doh! nevermind. I bordered the one edge with some green scouring pads to just fill the table out. I think it looks much better. I intende to make a 3x3 board  at some point and have this mat on one side and something else (cobblestones probably) on the other.

Last night I introduced my good friend Pulp citizen to a game of Across the Dead Earth in which Leon fielded Adam's Family who took on the Redclaw in a grudge match and wiped them out to a man! Well done sir it was good game and despite me as the Redclaws being wiped out I really enjoyed it and look forward to playing some more games with him.

Painting figure wise I haven't really touched much since doing the two State members last week, Though for a small break from post apocalyptic stuff I have started on a figure for Empire of the Dead.

Project Zeke Minitures Eddie

Recieved my order from Project Zeke miniatures this work some more resin cars and I picked up William a survivor who will be useful for zombie gaming and Across the Dead Earth. I also got Eddie a new survivor not yet released. Eddie is equipped with an M60 machine gun and has a large knife in a sheath on his hip. This is such an awesome figure I really enjoyed painting this fella up he so full of character. I think firstly he's going to be used in Across the Dead Earth. Not sure which gang yet he'd work with Adam's Family but he'd also fit in well with bikers or even my Jaguars!

As you can see he fits in well with Adam's Family.

Wrecked Car from Project Zeke Miniatures

Had a weekend of painting terrain done plenty of work has been done to my LOTR Ruins but they aren't quite ready yet. Got sent a lovely Resin Car Wreck sample from Simon the guy behind Project Zeke miniatures (Click the name for the site) It arrived with some of his P-Sec Security Guards and some very cool Luggage. This probably took me about 40-60 mins over a couple of evenings excluding drying times.

I washed it in warm soapy water first then gave it a black undercoat just to make sure the colours would adhere. Painted all the panel Steel Drab, Dark Tone wash, then dry brushed heavily with a dark grey (I was doing the ruins at the same time). Then I dry brushed the raised areas with Baneblade Brown (a sort of stony light brown) then mixed up some browny orange paint which I stippled over it.

Its turned out surprisingly well I was going to do something similar to some of my diecast cars I have sitting around but I'm going to get me some more of these when they go on sale as they are just so awesomely easy to knock out and they look great.

I'm really pleased with how its turned out its boost my confidence a bit so I'm going on a terrain crusade this year. I have lots of old Warhammer card buildings and some other home made bits which whilst ok doesn't look that great. I'm looking to replace them with some decent buildings. Most likely there will be some pre-painted ruins from 4 Ground on the cards but I've also been looking at Warlord Games Ruined Hamlet For Bolt Action
