Copplestone Security Minions

Just been picking figures out at random from the painting table mainly whilst I research how to fur for my Empire of the Dead Lycaon faction. Finished off two packs of Copplestone Casting KKBB range Guards in hard hats and Guards in berets all armed with SMG's these will boost the ranks of my security force to 20. The Guards in Beret's will be used as squad leaders and to mark them out they had a silver patch badge add to there left arm. Again these guys will double as Vault dweller for security in any PA games I have as well as perhaps for hunting zombies who knows! Anyway onto the pictures first up the Squad leaders.

Westwind Empire of The Dead Gentlemen Faction part 2

Finally finished the remaining few gents for my club. These aren't what is going to be in my final faction as yet I need to sit down and work out weapons etc for them. But this is the boxed set all painted and completed.

Gentlemen number six armed with a trusty revolver and sword cane.

A second rifle armed chap. Quite like the pocked watch on the chain in his left hand.

The Final chap who can only really be the club secretary armed with a revolver and fly swatter (LoL) I ad a go at doing a pattern on his trousers. Have mixed feelings about how it turned out.

7TV Jaws

Another Henchmen for 7TV finished the infamous Jaws with his steely bite :D Enjoyed painting this figure. The body caused me nightmares as Richard Kiel is quite tall and finding one proved to be a bit frustrating having tried a few heroclix figures however the head I had which was perfect didn't look in proportion with any of the bodies I could find. So I sacrificed the height for the look.  So with the Crooked Dice Henchmen Head and a Copplestone not 'Red' Grant Henchmen body.

Enjoy the pics. Annoyingly I can't now find the original pic that I chose for the colour scheme from.

7TV Tee-Hee

Taking a break from Empire of the Dead stuff decided to paint something nice and bright. So here is my Version of Tee-Hee from the bond film 'Live and Let Die' . A classic movie In my opinion some don't like it but I do.  Anyway Tee Hee for me is one those Iconic henchmen and here is my attempt at recreating in miniature format.

In the film Kanaga/Mr.Big is blown up by Bond using a bullet from his shark gun supplied by Q and Tee Hee is thrown from a train at the end losing his robotic arm in the process. So in my eyes he is still at large and available to hire! 7TV games he will be a merceneary for hire with a newer robotic arm.

The Body is that of a Copplestone KGB man from this pack (guy in middle) I removed his pistol/hand and replaced with the Claw arm from Crooked Dice's Failed Experiment Arm sprue. I then just puttied on some sunglasses for him and applied a suitable paint scheme.

Jaws has been started also as well as a little work on some more security teams. Empire of the Dead wise work has begun on the Lycaon set and the N'ver Do Wells

I'm thinking of doing a No More Room In Hell game some time in September it will just be a one off and I'm not to sure of what figures I'll be using (except of course Zombies will be included) so keep your eyes peeled

Empire of The Dead Holmes And Watson

'Elementary dear Watson' (sorry couldn't help it) These two are sort of hired mercenaries for Empire of The Dead. Rules for these 'Gentlemen and Jackanapes' can be found here and are part of an official add on (free mind you) there are a number of similar characters, Cedrice Hyde, Circ Du Noir Ape Man, Lady Luck (no pic on the website but a beautiful figure), Mr Chop to name a few. They all offer various extra abilities to your starting faction. All very characterful miniatures they will be gracing the pages here as I acquire them. There are some rumours floating about of some additions to the range painted figures of Peelers (Police) Le Strade, Queen Victoria and some armed monks have been circulated about but nothing has been officially confirmed or denied yet.

The Holmes and Watson figures are fantistic Watson in particular is well tooled up with Sword, Stakes, Pistol and Lantern (pistol is optional as the figure also comes with a rifle). Holmes just has a trusty revolver but of course his main weapon is his sharp intellect.

I can see these getting a lot of use in various games. Perhaps even making an appearance in my NMRIH 1888 campaign mentioning that I've acquired some card buildings, ruins some hedges and other bits (warhammer/warhammer 40K)  from ebay they need a little patching and tidying up but I got them very cheap so I don't mind at all so have a fair bit of terrain now. (note to self need trees)

Enough waffle here are the pictures.

Westwind Empire of The Dead Gentlemen Faction

After selling a large chunk of my Space Marines stuff. This Is what I sunk the cash back into this fantastic boxed set from West Wind Productions for there new Empire of The Dead line.

This boxed set contains eight 28mm scale Victorian Gentlemen armed with a nice variety of weapons from pistols, sword (sword sticks) and a few rifles. They arrived very well packed in a nicely detailed box. They are nicely detailed not to much to be fiddly but just the right amount.

Very minimal flash or moldlines were to be found. They come with 8 30mm lipped bases and you even get a smoking pipe to attach to one of your figures. (not used mine yet)

Here is the first five that i've painted up so far. Love the pose on this chap as well as his pistol it has a brass knuckle grip to it.

What better to kill a vampire than with a Hammer and a bag of stakes! Nice open pose on this chap.

This next chap is armed with a sword and pistol and wears a face mask to hide his true identity.

Next chap has some long range fire power for the group, sporting a rifle and knife. I attempted to do a striped scarf on this chap.

Another Gent with revolver and sword very nice pose, I like the cross on the chain that holds his cloak round his neck.

The remaining three are WIP as I post as well the N'ver do wells from Foundry and the new Empire of the Dead Holmes and Watson.

Criminal Gang for Empire of The Dead

With having Bo'Sun the english bull terrier it got me thinking of a criminal themed faction for Empire of The Dead. There are rumours of one being released but nothing set in stone yet. So enthralled with the idea I have started my own. I'm not sure what factions rules to use quite yet. But here is the start of them.

Again these may find some use in my campaign not sure when or why but we will see where my addled brain takes me with it.

This particular pack was from Artizan Designs Wild west range. Bat Masterson and Dodge City Marshals. Initially I was going to use the guy in the centre and the guy on the right as the fit the Victorian London theme but not wanting to waste a miniature decided to modify the first guy on the left and trimmed down his and re-sculpted it into a Bola hat shape. It looks quite good I need to get some greenstuff and have a play with it as the milliput I used was a little bit difficult.

I have two gangsters from pack Street Toughs from Copplestone gangsters range. Which have both been converted slightly to fit in better. The guy with his arms folded had an elasticated waste band on his coat so I have puttied over it and made it a little bit longer I like the pose of this guy as he has a cosh in his pocket which isn't quite apparent from the pics on the site. The other guy I just added a brutal looking shortsword from the reaper modern weapons sprue.

Group shot so far.

I have a pack of Wargames Foundry Armed N'ver Do Wells to add to these but the Empire of the Dead Gentlemen's boxed set are next in the queue. The first one from this set is done but I will get some more finished and do a post on Wednesday.
