Walking Dead All Out War Shane Booster

The other half of the figures I started this week this time is the figures in the Shane Booster. Reggie (the guy who shot Rick in the first Comic) Shane and Zombie Shane.

Also touched up the Bag of Guns and Sherrif's badge and took some pics in daylight. Have spent the weekend working on 6 zombies randomly selected from those prepped and will count as the Walker Booster. Hoping to finish those this evening.

Serpent Fanatic Major Bludd

A quick paintjob on this one. I have had Major Bludd started flesh and eyes done mostly for a while. So whilst waiting for washes to dry on my Walking Dead stuff this week quickly finished him off.

Again I was fortunate to get some spare castings from a private collection. I wanted my Major to be a bit different so moved his arm position slightly turned his head and added an m16 from the Wargames Factory Survivor Sprues.

Walking Dead All Out War Andrea Booster

Well its kind of the Andrea Booster. As per my last post I have embarked on trying to get my Kickstarter boxed set finished to allow myself to purchase more of the boosters and expansions.

So I selected out a bunch of figs from those I prepared. I split them into there retail sets and have finished off the Andrew Booster. The roamer isn't the correct one as it looks like I already painted the one that comes with Amy and Andrew in this pack. So Roamer Ronnie the exclusive/Mantic Point Walker got chosen instead.

Its been useful doing it this way as it has got me used to painting undead flesh again and also get me used to the sculpting style of the figures.

I also managed to get the Sheriff's Badge (Initiative marker) and the Bag of Guns (Supply Counter but infamous from early comics and Season one of the TV show) The other supply markers and barricades will probably be dug out as well as it breaks the pace up nicely between figures so I will probably tackle a couple more of these in between them.

The other booster I started is coming along nicely. I only need to put the finishing touches to two out of the three figures and hope to have them finished tonight or the weekend.

Walking Dead All Out War WIP and Here's Negan news.

Mantic Announced a new game up for pre order this week. Called 'Here's Negan' LINK. Its a standalone game which has the same scale figures in it as its Walking Dead All out War game. But uses different rules and is more of a board game/dungeon crawler than a skirmish game like AoW.

However f you Pre Order it before November's release date you get stat cards for the normal Walking Dead All out War game for the 5 Lieutenant's the new game contains.

The game itself is quite a cool concept really. Basically it is set before all the fighting in the comics Between Rick's group, The Kingdom etc and has Negan and his other Saviours clearing out the Sanctuary to inhabit it and take over. Essentially a sort of dungeon crawler. It has randomly selected tiles and the event deck shakes things up so no game will ever be the same. You can't play as Negan however he still is active in the game as he is controlled by his own deck. You need play as one of his lieutenants and it is your job to impress the main man and earn his favour. It seems fun and uses the same zombie sculpts as the main game so I'm off to a head start for painting figures to play it.

I am still way behind with all painting all my stuff I got last year  in October only having finished a dozen or so figures. I also vowed not to buy any more sets for it which I have stuck to though I realise I need to pull my finger out and get to a show and pick up this years event booster set before it changes at the end of the Year!

Oops had removed a row to start work but as you can see I only got the top and bottom rows painted. There is another tray underneath this one with the barricades, cars and supply markers as well as another 8 walkers which I need to paint.

So in order to catch up on both painting and collecting the figures I have cracked on this week. Firstly cleaning up and scraping up all the mold lines off the figures that game in the kickstarter edition of the game.I took a box to work with my scalpel and glasses and whilst in between jobs during the day sat in the car and cleaned a few figures at a time finishing them Thursday afternoon.

I then spent Friday night and this morning and putty and texturing the bases on them all and finally got them spray primed tonight.

I plan to split them into there booster sets that you would get individually so I can paint them hopefully without burning myself out to much.

Not sure which to set to start off with. I may do the Walker booster first as it gives me more zombies to start playing the game with over the six weeks holidays with the kids.

Statuesque miniatures Sky Pirates

Ha told you my painting was a bit random at the moment. I have loved these minis since they were sneak peeked in September 2016. They didn't come out until Early last year but I snagged them straight away. I assembled them pretty quickly but as usual drifted off onto other things. So having a nothing urgentl needing painted I had a mooch in the to do box last week and dug these out spending an hour or so each day and they have trundled along at a fair clip finishing them off yesterday afternoon.

I picked up two copies of pack 2 and one copy of Pack 1. As you can see I added in Minerva who I painted in December last year (the Blond one with the eye patch). Minerva seems to fit in as a sort of senior trooper leader.

Plans at the moment are to them for 7TV though I will need to flesh them out with some more characters. The idea at the minute is that they are an Aerial/Acrobat travelling show But really this is a front and there true nature is that they are spies/mercenaries for hire.

I am going to try and use as many female Statuesque models as possible. So Pulp Girl, and Gauge will be added. I am tempted to squeeze in Bosun but will need somone for her to lead as otherwise may seem out of place I think however that the Classic Daughters of Shiva from Crooked Dice will fit in nicely.

Plans for them 'Heroic' cast wise are as follows

Pulp Girl (Tomorrow Person) Star and obviously the leader of the aerial troupe.
Has Psychic powers uses her powers to stun enemies.

Gauge (Crackpot inventor) obviously makes gadgets and maintains the planes etc

Minerva (Dependable Deputy) Leads the troopers

Troopers I am undecided on Soldiers seems to much. So most likely they will use Security Guard Profiles.

Bosun (Angel of Justice) will use her martial arts and I will swap her pistol for throwing stars or something.

Daughters of Shiva (Ninja) will be the acrobats/stunt ladies.

Vuvalini Fighter Raging Annie

Painting at the moment is all a bit random. I am mainly painting what I feel like doing at the moment so prepare for some randomness in the next few posts. Anyway another figure has been finished my ongoing Post Apocalypse collection and this one joins my Vuvalini or Many Mothers warband. I love Kev Whites sculpt and own many that he sells through his own business Hasslefree miniatures but I also love picking up the sculpts he does elsewhere for other people.

This is one of those miniatures sculpted for another range. Raging Annie is from Bad Squiddo Games and is a sculpture of the owner Annie geared up war fighting alongside her Ghosts of Gaia miniature range. The Ghosts though very nice are to sci fi looking for my tastes though I am tempted by a couple that I could convert perhaps. Raging Annie has more modern day looking equipment so fit in well with a lot Crooked and Hasslefree miniatures.

I love the little Squiddo backpack she carries. I painted it like the one on her website. I quite like the idea that really it is a sentient mutant or some such that warns her of danger. Protect her from being attacked from behind.

Armed with an Assault rifle, a machete and carrying a largish looking  hand gun she armed pretty well and has armour and lots of padded armour to protect her in the wasteland.

The band of fighters is growing nicely I have two more to add at some point but they are at the basing 'stage' in my prep amongst some other figures

Lemonade Wars: Diggle the Mole

I backed a recent kickstarter by Blind Beggar miniatures recently for the start of their Lemonade Wars range. Its anthropomorphic animals but this time in a sort of Prohibition Era type affair. As you can guess they are not brewing alcohol but lemonade! They have a lot more guns as yo would expect from the period. But there are lots of cool Cops, Detectives, Thugs and other low life characters as well as various Civilians.

As you can see I have finished off Diggle who is a Mole Thug. Meet Diggle a Mole thug. Diggle is doorman at The Flitting Bat a gambling den of ill repute. Bigger than normal moles he use his size and large digging claws to break up fights some before they even start!

The cool thing is that some of the characters will fit in well amongst my B&B project and I am tempted to have crack with the Grandville (Victorian Steampunk) player guide that is coming out later in the year.
Diggle with some B&B friends :)
