Circ Du Noir Apeman

Another of the Gentlemen and Jackanapes added onto the original Empire of the dead rules. This guy is a brute of a miniature comes with a choice of hats Bowler and a Top Hat he is one of my favourite special characters.

Trapped between man and animal in a body corrupted by a foul infernium experiment. Treated as a freak by society, he acts as an intelligent source and occasionally much more for his masters. Driven by hatred of his own form he will stop at nothing to prevent further corruption of the natural world.

I shall pick up another eventually I think so I can do a bowler hat version I had though of magnets but i'd already pinched the bowler to use on my Dredger conversion.

Butler is nearly done leaving two more figures to finish before letting myself start any of the Requiem figures. Works become really busy due to one of my colleagues breaking his elbow and it will be 6 months before he can even drive so.......busy times ahead nevermind!

Have a good weekend folks!!

  2. I've always liked that sculpt, but no one locally carries it and I don't want to pay shipping on a single figure from Westwind!

Nice paint work. It's far more subtle (and thus more suitable I think) than some of the other paint jobs I've seen.

  3. Shame he's a great figure well worth the price though! I just copid the WW sites version if I'm honest. If I do get another I may try different clothing or perhaps do a patterned waistcoat or something.

  4. I wonder if he has considered a career in politics. Got the looks.

    1. Probably would do better than the baboons we have currently in charge.

    1. He is indeed and his rules are even more amusing. The fact he can carry other team members up onto the roof tops is a winner in my book.

  13. I'm glad you mentioned how tall he was, Simon, otherwise I'd have just assumed he was 28mm tall. He is quite a beast in every sense of the word.

    1. When you pick him you certainly know what £7.00 worth of figure is.

  14. I've long resisted buying this figure, mainly because my hobby budget is tight so I concentrated on box sets, but now that I've seen your version and there is now an American shop selling him I'll snatch him up.

    2. No; I will probably do some Victorian stuff eventually (I have a few EotD and LAF bits), but probably not EotD rules. Maybe IHMN or something.

  17. Once again, a top job. It sort of reminds me of Mr Hyde with the top hat, but the face looks like one of my old drill sergeants- you know, the pleasant one !

  18. To pick up on what seems to be the running theme in the comment section, I too considered buying this mini but managed to display a modicum of fiscal restraint (for a change).

Seeing how well yours turned out has reawakened my desire to own one.

    Curse you, sir. ;-)
