Penguin Crew Completed.

Well was a bit unsure of what to watch one of the nights this week so I stuck on Batman Mask of the Phantasm for a change and finished off all of my Penguin Crew.

I need to find the time to read up on this game as I am going over to Pulp Citizen's for my debut game of the Batman game in a couple of weeks time.

 The Penguin himself

 Penguin Emperor

 Penguin Emperor

 Titan Blue Penguin

Titan Blue Penguin

 Blue Penguin Shield

Royal Penguin

The Whole Crew so far

I need to make some objective tokens so I've also started on those though they require painting still I'm sure they won't take long.

The the markers are loot (Sack of cash), Ammo (the rifle and ammo pack) and Titan Cannister.

Doh just realised the ammo pack on the assault rifle has moved. I was intending on painting the tyre underneath first then gluing the weapon and ammo packs down on top lol.

Went to watch Mad Max: Fury Road on Friday night it was awesome It took until Saturday afternoon for my brain to finish reeling from what we'd watched. It requires a second watching I think as I'm sure there are bits I missed. Its visually stunning and I think its a great addition to the Max Legacy. The characters and factions are ace I'm sure there will be some fab models being converted from it.

Also if you love 80's movie I watched this yesterday afternoon its awesome and full of cheese but I loved it. I don't normally do Parodies but this amused me greatly its only 30 minutes long but I thought it was brill. Its NSFW btw due to the swearing.

  8. Nice work. The crew looks awesome. Agree on Mad Max. I watched it last weekend. Very cool! An interesting fact I was unaware of is that guy who plays the bad guy in this one was also the bad guy in the very first Mad Max movie. Will we see some Car Wars posts on your blog soon? :-)

    1. Thanks Will. Car wars isn't my thing though I am tempted to do a Warboys gang for across the dead earth its an idea thats bubbling away as I summarise modelling options.

There are some really cool snippets in that movie if you know where to look.

  9. This looks like a serious gang! Not quite the Vaudeville escapees who are often portrayed as the Penguin's crew :-) .

  11. You painted these up in no time, and all very impressively done. That rogue with the shield reminds me of the riots in Ukraine a year or so ago.

  12. You did a fantastic job with these Simon. Just gorgeous, the way you've done the highlighting.

I've got a rather large amount of post apocalyptic figures. I'd like to give some of them away as I've duplicates. They would work as survivors as well. And I think they'd be perfect for your style of painting.

    1. Cheers Michael. I kind of felt like I fubared the colour choice mainly when it came to painting the blue emperors body armour and helmet. But I think the darker blue works ok still.

  15. Great stuff. I envy all you folks out there who paint faster than I do! I'd much rather play a game with painted figures.

  17. Superheroes is another genre that has passed me by so I cannot appreciate these the way many others will. That said I can and do appreciate the painting and work involved. They really do look good villains! Dastardly!

  20. Simon, your Penguin crew is amazing. I love the skin on the big fellow, it's very convincing. I think I've seen him at my gym a few times. Very fine work.
I really should see Fury Road, I hear nothing but good things about it.
    Cheers,
    Michael
