2014 in Summary

Its been a fantastic year hobby wise. I think my painting has come on in leaps and bounds. I even scratch built and finished some terrain!  I made plenty of new friends in the hobby via this blog and facebook. Being able to meet up with several bloggers and attending 3 shows was also a major highlight. Got involved with the Across the Dead Earth Kickstarter Project as a beta tester which has just been such an awesome experience made some great new friends and got my name in the back of the book Woot! Beginning to get involved with SDZA now rules have started to appear for testing more on this in the next week or so.
Miniatures Painted:

2014
83 Total 70x28mm and 13x 15mm. (Not including 20+ rebased figures)

Terrain (Yay!) Bonus points for these!
Built and finished painting the large scratch built ruin.
5 x Project Zeke car wrecks
LOTR Osgiliath Ruins

2013
115 painted 93 x 28mm and 22 x 15mm

Games Played:

2014
17-25 games (Lost count tbh)
2x Anime Tactics and 15+ Across the Dead Earth

2013
4 Games Played 3 Empire of the Dead and 1 7TV

Well Miniatures painted is slightly down again! from 2013 and 2012 but I think with the Terrain done (which is alot more time consuming) and re-basing fair number of figures. Its been a very productive year. Games played I'm really chuffed with as I've managed to get a fair few in this year as well with testing out Across the Dead Earth I also got to try out Anime Tactics with Pulp Citizen as well as a games of ATDE. We nearly got some Pulp City in but alas schedules conspired against us. More games shall have to be planned for this year!

Regrets.
Didn't get around to getting the Labyrinth project up and running for Christmas as planned but tbh I don't think we would of been able to squeeze it in anyway. So It will be something for quarter one of 2015. Perhaps something for the Easter holidays.

Plans.
More of the same really. I'd like to get some more 7TV and Empire of the Dead painted this year at some point it kind fell onto the back burner as other projects got attention instead.
There is a new one started which there will be more on in another post. More Across the Dead Earth terrain for certain. Miniature buying will be a low priority this year.

I have the Studio Kickstarter to come in March (Assuming it all arrives on time) finances are a bit tighter this year with renovations to the house planned as well holidays etc. I have tons of stuff like everyone to paint though so have no fears there. There may be the odd purchase here and there but I shall have to be strong!

Gaming wise I'd like to do more schedules allowing it.

  8. Wow Simon you have really been busy, some of the terrain you have made really gives off a good vibe, some of it reminds me of Necromunda ? GW game, is that what it was called ? kind of a modern version of that, anyway keep up the great work.

  19. That's a huge amount of games there, well done! They do rack up quickly with some company, don't they?

Don't worry about purchasing the miniatures, I am sure you'd be surprised how much you still got to paint!
